Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ’bout this LeBron fella and his all-black getup. You know, the basketball player, real famous guy. Always see him on TV, runnin’ and jumpin’ like a young rooster.
LeBron James, the basketball star. He’s been playin’ ball for a long, long time. Don’t rightly know how old he is, but he’s been at it since my grandbabies were in diapers. And lemme tell ya, he’s good. Real good. Folks say he’s one of the best ever, like them fellas Jordan and them. Can’t say I know much about that, but he sure looks fancy out there.
Now, this fella, he likes to dress up too. Not just in them basketball shorts and shirts, but in real clothes. And seems like he likes black. Like, a whole lotta black. All-black outfits, they call it. Like when you go to a funeral, but, you know, more…stylish? I guess.
- First off, there’s them shoes. LeBron’s got his own shoes, you know? Made by that Nike company. They got all sorts of colors, but the black ones, they’re somethin’ else. Shiny and sleek, like a black cat sneakin’ around at night. Folks wear ’em with all sorts of things. Shirts, pants, even them fancy dresses the city girls wear.
- Then there’s the clothes. Black shirts, black pants, black jackets. Sometimes he wears a hat, black too, of course. It’s like he’s tryin’ to hide in the shadows, but he’s so big and famous, ain’t nobody missin’ him.
- And let me tell ya, it ain’t just LeBron. Seems like everyone’s wearin’ all black these days. They say it’s like that little black dress, you know, the one them fancy ladies wear? But for everything. Black boots, black jeans, black sweaters. You name it, they got it in black.
I saw a picture of him once, at some fancy party. All dressed up in black from head to toe. Looked like he was ready to go rob a bank, but I guess that’s just fashion these days. My old man used to say black was for mournin’, but these young folks, they wear it to everything. Parties, games, even just goin’ to the store.
He’s been doin’ this fancy dressin’ up for a while now. Since way back when he first started playin’ ball. And he ain’t stoppin’ anytime soon. Every year, he’s got some new all-black outfit, some new shoes, some new somethin’. It’s like he’s got a closet full of nothin’ but black clothes.
Makes ya wonder, don’t it? Why all the black? Maybe he likes it, maybe it makes him look tough, maybe it’s just easy to match. I ain’t got a clue. But one thing’s for sure, that LeBron fella, he sure knows how to wear it. Makes it look good, even if it’s just plain old black.
Anyways, that’s all I gotta say about it. LeBron, all black, fancy clothes, fancy shoes. It’s all a bit much for an old lady like me, but hey, to each their own, right? As long as he keeps playin’ that basketball good, he can wear whatever he wants, far as I’m concerned.
And you know, they say he’s been playin’ in them All-Star games for twenty years now! Twenty years! That’s longer than my prize-winning tomatoes have been growin’. That’s gotta be some kind of record, even I know that. He must be doin’ something right, even if I don’t understand half of it. All them sneakers and fancy clothes… well, I guess that’s part of it too.
LeBron’s style is something special, even if it’s just plain black. People are always talkin’ about it, just like they talk about his basketball games. He’s a star, no doubt about it, in everything he does. Whether he’s wearin’ his famous all-black outfits, or those special Nike LeBron sneakers he’s got, he’s always lookin’ his best.
So there you have it, my two cents on this LeBron fella and his all-black everything. It ain’t much, but it’s honest. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
