Okay, so, I’ve always struggled with keeping my lipstick looking good all day. It’s like, I put it on in the morning, and two hours later, it’s faded, smeared, or just…gone. Super annoying, right? So, I decided to finally figure this whole lipstick thing out. I did some digging and experimented, and let me tell you, it’s a process, but I’ve finally found some tricks that actually work!

My Lipstick Staying Power Journey
First, I realized I was skipping a super important step: prep. I used to just slap on lipstick and go. Big mistake!
I started by gently exfoliating my lips. I used a sugar scrub, just a store-bought one. and I gently, and I mean gently, rubbed it on my lips in little circles. This gets rid of any dry, flaky skin, which is like, the enemy of smooth lipstick.
Then, moisturize! I started using a lip balm, Let it sit for a few minutes, really let it sink in. This makes your lips all nice and soft, so the lipstick doesn’t crack or look all weird.
Next up: primer. I had no idea this existed. It’s like magic. I got a lip primer , and it creates this smooth base for the lipstick to stick to. Game changer!
Now for the actual lipstick. I learned that applying in layers is key.
- I put on one thin layer, then use a tissue to lightly pat,not rub the lip.
- Then,I put on a bit of translucent * a little bit!
- put on a second coat of * powder really helps to set the first layer and create more staying power.
Finally,I avoid super oily or greasy * totally breaks down the * i do not touch my lips often!
It might seem like a lot, but it’s actually pretty quick once you get the hang of it. And honestly, the difference is huge. My lipstick actually lasts for hours now, even through coffee and snacks. I’m so happy I finally figured this out!
