Alright, let’s talk about this Woolrich place, the, uh, Woolrich Community Center, yeah, that’s it. Sounds fancy, but it ain’t nothin’ but a big building where folks get together, ya know?
What’s Goin’ On There?
Well, they got all sorts of things happenin’. I heard tell they got this bowlin’ alley, three lanes they say. You can rent it out for parties, sixty bucks for two hours. If you wanna keep bowlin’, it’s twenty bucks more for each hour. Not bad if you got a bunch of noisy grandkids to entertain, I guess.
And the kids, oh them kids, they got stuff for them too. They got this summer camp thing goin’ on. First time ever, they say. Keepin’ them young’uns busy so their mamas can get a break, I reckon. Good thing, those kids got too much energy, always runnin’ around like chickens with their heads cut off.
They also got activities, all kinds of stuff. Says right there, “Updated Activities!!! The activities/events are available to anyone!!” See? Anyone can join in, even old biddies like me, though I don’t know what I’d do there. Maybe sit and watch, like I do most days.
Help for Folks in Need
Now, this place ain’t just for fun and games. They help people out too. There’s this “Boxes of Hope” thing, for women with that breast cancer. They help ‘em out, give ‘em hope, they say. Good thing too, cancer’s a nasty business.
Then there’s somethin’ called “Woolwich Community Services”. They’re like a helpin’ hand, a friend when you need one. They support folks, families too. Times are tough, ya know? Lots of folks need a little help now and then. No shame in that.

You can even see what other folks think about this place. They got a website, I think, or somethin’ like that. You can follow your friends, see what they recommend. Personally, I just listen to what my neighbor, Martha, says, but those young folks like their computin’ machines.
Want to Help Out?
If you ain’t one for just sittin’ around like me, they always need folks to help out. You can volunteer for the Recreation Committee, or help out with events at the park. They had a good first year, they say, but they always need more hands. It’s good to lend a hand when you can, that’s what I always say.
So, What’s It All About?
So, this Woolrich Community Center, it’s more than just a buildin’. It’s a place for folks to get together, have some fun, and help each other out. It’s for the young’uns, the old folks, and everyone in between. It’s about community, ya know? About folks lookin’ out for each other. That’s important, especially in these times.
Sounds like a good place, this Woolrich Community Center. Maybe I’ll even go check it out myself one of these days. Maybe. Or maybe I’ll just sit here on my porch and watch the world go by. That’s pretty good too.
