Well, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Jeezy the Snowman. Now, I ain’t no music expert or nothin’, but I hear things, ya know? Folks ’round here, they talk. And they been talkin’ ’bout this Jeezy for a good while now.
From what I gather, this Jeezy, he ain’t no spring chicken no more. They say he’s past his 40s, but still makin’ music, still slingin’ them tunes, like he’s sellin’ watermelons off the back of a truck. Folks seem to like it, so good for him, I guess.
I heard this fella, he used to go by Lil J, way back when. That was before he joined up with them Boyz n da Hood. Then, in 2005, he come out with this record, “Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101”. Now, that’s a mouthful, ain’t it? But it sure did make folks listen. They say it made sellin’ drugs sound better than gettin’ into one of them fancy colleges. Don’t know much about that, but that’s what they say.
- He started as Lil J.
- Then he joined Boyz n da Hood.
- Then came that “Thug Motivation” record.
They call him the Snowman, see? ‘Cause he raps about sellin’ that white powder, you know, the stuff they use to make cakes… only this ain’t for bakin’, if ya catch my drift. He talks plain and simple, like tellin’ it how it is. No fancy words or nothin’. Just straight talkin’ ’bout hustlin’ and makin’ a livin’, even if it ain’t the right way to do it.
And this Snowman, he ain’t just makin’ music. I seen pictures, they got these shirts with a mean-lookin’ snowman on ’em. Not like the friendly kind you build with the kids. This one looks like he’s ready to throw down. Folks wearin’ ’em everywhere. Must be sellin’ like hotcakes, that’s for sure.
Now, this Jeezy, he even got hitched a few years back, in 2021. Married some gal named Jeannie Mai. Good for him, findin’ love and all. Even hustlers need someone, I reckon.
Jeezy the Snowman, he been at it for a long time now. Started way back in 2001, they say. And he just put out another record, somethin’ ’bout “The Legend of the Snowman.” They sayin’ it might be his last one. Guess even snowmen melt eventually, huh? But he sure left his mark. People still talkin’ ’bout him, still wearin’ them shirts. He made somethin’ of hisself, even if it ain’t always been on the up and up.
He reminds me of a fella I used to know back in the day. Always hustlin’, always lookin’ for a way to get ahead. Some folks called him trouble, but he had a good heart, deep down. Maybe Jeezy’s the same way. Can’t judge a book by its cover, as they say. Even if that cover’s got a mean-lookin’ snowman on it.
So, that’s the story of Jeezy the Snowman, as far as I can tell. A fella who rapped about his life, the good and the bad, and made a name for hisself. He might be done makin’ music, but folks ain’t gonna forget him anytime soon. Not as long as they keep wearin’ them shirts and talkin’ ’bout the Snowman.
And that’s all I got to say about that. It’s like my grandma used to say, “live your life, and don’t let nobody tell you you can’t”. That’s what I reckon Jeezy done, and he done alright for hisself.
Now if you excuse me, I got to go check on my biscuits.
