Man, I’ve been meaning to upgrade my wardrobe for a while now, and I finally decided to take the plunge and get some new neckties. Let me tell you, the world of neckties is way more involved than I ever imagined!

First, I started by browsing online, just to get a feel for what’s out there. I checked out some big names, like Armani and Zegna, and also more common brands like * and Calvin Klein. Then i found some article mentioned there was a brand called Reiss that is great for the price, as well as the designer brand, Salvatore Ferragamo.

After seeing so many options online, I decided to go to some physical stores. I wanted to see the ties in person, feel the fabric, and see how they looked against my skin tone. This is quite important, at least to me.

  • I hit up a few department stores, and wow, the selection was overwhelming.
  • There were so many colors, patterns, and materials. Silk, wool, cotton, you name it.
  • I even saw some skinny ties, but I’m not sure I can pull that look off.

I spent a good couple of hours just browsing and trying on different ties. I quickly realized that price doesn’t always equal quality. Some of the cheaper ties felt just as good as the expensive ones. And some expensive ones are really low quality.

After all that, I finally narrowed it down to a few favorites. I ended up getting a classic navy blue silk tie, a burgundy one with a subtle pattern, and a fun striped one for more casual occasions. Oh, I also grabbed a green one because they had a 20% off deal, which was pretty sweet. I found that there are some “Best Sellers” like the “Slim TigerTie” and “DonDon men’s slim tie” which are updated frequently. I might get one later.

Here’s what I learned from my necktie adventure:

  • Do your research. There are so many different brands, styles, and materials out there.
  • Don’t be afraid to try on different ties. You might be surprised at what looks good on you.
  • Consider the occasion. You’ll need different ties for formal events, work, and casual outings.
  • Pay attention to the fabric and construction. A good quality tie will last longer and look better.
  • Don’t get fooled by the price. Expensive doesn’t necessarily mean better.

Overall, it was a fun and educational experience. I’m happy with my new neckties, and I feel like they’ve definitely elevated my style. Now, to practice how to tie them perfectly!
