Color Nails Blue: How to Choose the Right Shade and Make It Last Longer

by Griffith Maggie

So, I decided to go with blue for my nails today. I’ve been seeing it all over the place, and you know, it’s such a cool color.

Color Nails Blue: How to Choose the Right Shade and Make It Last Longer

First, I shaped my nails. I like them short but kinda rounded, ’cause it makes my fingers look a bit longer. It’s a trick I learned a while back, and it really works, you know?

Finding the Right Shade

Then came the fun part – picking the shade. I was thinking something like a sky blue, something cheerful. I tried this one from Olive and June. I have used their Boost shade and it really gives me that blue-sky vibe, which is just what I wanted.

Layering the Color

I applied a thin layer first. I’m not a pro at this, so I take my time, making sure it’s not too thick. Then I waited for it to dry, which is the most boring part, honestly.

  • First Coat: Just a light layer to get started.
  • Dry Time: Grabbed a cup of coffee while waiting.
  • Second Coat: I added another layer for that solid, vibrant blue.

Adding Some Sparkle

After the second coat dried, I thought, why not add a bit of sparkle? I had this glittery topcoat that I thought would look cool. I brushed it on, and wow, it looked so good! It gave my nails this shimmery look, perfect for, like, a day at the beach or something.

The Final Look

And that’s it! My nails are now this awesome, sparkly blue. It’s a simple change, but it makes me feel good. Every time I look down at my hands, it’s like a little burst of happiness.

I think I’ll be doing this blue thing more often. It’s just so fresh and pretty. Plus, it’s fun to try out different shades and see what works. Maybe next time I’ll go for a darker blue, or even try some nail art. The possibilities are endless, right?

It just feels so awesome. This color is fire!
