Vanity Bag, huh? Sounds fancy, but it’s just a bag for your stuff, you know, like makeup and things. Us women, we got a lot of junk!
I seen these young girls, they got bags inside bags, little bags in a big bag. It’s a whole thing! So, what’s in a vanity bag, you ask? Well, let me tell ya.
- Powder, that face powder stuff. Gotta keep that shine down, especially in the summer when it’s hot as blazes. You know, makes your face look all smooth and nice.
- Lipstick, gotta have lipstick. Red, pink, whatever color you like. Makes you look alive, you know? Like you got some pep in your step. Even when you feel like an old shoe.
And mirrors, oh lord, them little mirrors. Some bags got them mirrors built right in. Makes it easy to check yourself, make sure you ain’t got lipstick on your teeth or nothin’. I remember back in the day, we didn’t have no fancy mirrors in our bags. We just used the reflection in the store windows, ha!
Now, these youngins, they got all sorts of stuff in them bags. Little brushes, little pencils, little pots of this and that. It’s a whole lot to keep up with, I tell ya. But it’s important, I guess. Makes you feel good, puttin’ on your face, you know? Like you’re ready to face the world.
Organizing this stuff is a whole other story, though. I seen some gals just dump everything in there, and it’s a mess. You can’t find nothin’! That’s why you gotta get them little bags, I guess. Keep things separate. Like, all the lipsticks in one little bag, all the powders in another. Makes sense, I suppose.
And don’t forget the essentials! What are the essentials? Well, that depends on who you ask, I reckon. But for me, it’s the powder, the lipstick, and maybe a little bit of blush. Just enough to make you look alive, you know? Not like you just rolled outta bed, even if you did.
I also seen gals carrying around hand cream in them bags. That’s a good idea, I guess. Your hands get dry, especially in the winter. And them little tissues, those are handy too. For sniffling or wiping off your lipstick if you put on too much. It happens, trust me.
Some folks say you need ten beauty products in your vanity bag. Ten! That’s a lot of stuff. I don’t know about all that. Seems like too much fuss to me. But then again, I’m just an old lady. What do I know?
But one thing I do know is that a vanity bag is a woman’s best friend, in a way. It’s where you keep all your little secrets, all the things that make you feel good about yourself. And that’s important, no matter how old you are.
So, whether you got a fancy bag or just a plain old pouch, it don’t matter. What matters is what’s inside. And what’s inside is what makes you, you. So fill that vanity bag of yours with what makes your heart sing, what makes you feel like you can take on the world. That’s what truly matters.
And don’t let nobody tell you different! They can keep their fancy ten beauty products, you do what makes you comfortable. You hear? That’s what this old woman thinks anyway.
And you keep that bag clean, ya hear? Ain’t nothin’ worse than a dirty old bag with makeup all smeared inside. That’s just a mess. Just like keepin’ a clean house, gotta keep a clean bag too.
