Okay, so today I was on a mission – a mission for a new bag, to be exact. I’d been eyeing this specific Vera Bradley pattern for a while, but it’s one of those retired ones, you know? Hard to find. So, I figured, why not check out the Vera Bradley store at Tysons Corner Center? I heard rumors they sometimes have older stock.

The Hunt Begins
First things first, I hopped in my car. It was a bit of a drive, but hey, for the perfect bag, it’s worth it, right? I cranked up the tunes and hit the road.
Got to the mall, and it was the usual weekend madness. Parking was a beast, I tell ya. I circled around for what felt like forever before finally snagging a spot that was probably a mile away from the actual store. My step count was gonna be impressive today, that’s for sure!
Store Disappointment
I finally made it to the Vera Bradley store, all excited. I walked in, took a deep breath, and… nothing. My pattern was nowhere to be seen. I browsed around anyway, checking all the shelves and displays, just in case. I even asked a sales associate, super politely, if they had anything in the back. Nope. Total bummer.
The Realization
As I was leaving the store, kinda defeated, it hit me. I had this vague memory of seeing something online about the Tysons Corner Vera Bradley store closing down. A quick search on my phone confirmed it – yep, it was permanently closed. I guess those rumors I’d heard were actually about the store closing, not about them having secret stashes of old patterns.
Lesson Learned
So, yeah, total fail on the bag front. But, hey, I got some exercise, listened to some good music, and learned a valuable lesson: always double-check if a store is still open before driving all the way there!

Anyone else ever have a shopping mission go completely wrong like this? Let me Know!
