Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ’bout this fella, Tupac, yeah, that rapper guy. Folks keep talkin’ ’bout his “tupac rolex”, so I figured I’d chime in, ya know? I ain’t no expert on fancy watches or nothin’, but I heard things, seen things, and I can put two and two together, just like anyone else.
Now, this Tupac, he was a big deal back in the day, a real big shot. He sang them songs, the ones the young’uns liked, all that rappin’ and whatnot. See, back in them days, the seventies, eighties, nineties, all them rappers, they loved their Rolexes. It was a thing, ya know? Like how all the ladies used to wear them big hair-dos, or how everyone wanted a pair of them bell-bottom jeans. Rolex was the watch to have if you was somebody, if you wanted folks to know you had money.
And Tupac, well, he sure was somebody. He made it big, singin’ about all sorts of things, politics and life and love. Heard he even went to some fancy school for acting when he was young, learnin’ to be all dramatic and stuff. But the music, that’s what made him famous. That’s what bought him them watches.
Tupac had this girl, Kidada Jones, they say. Their love story was somethin’ else, a big deal. Maybe he bought her a Rolex too, who knows? These rich folks, they do things us regular people can only dream about.
Now, I heard Tupac got some of his ideas from other rappers, like that Ice Cube fella and Public Enemy. He learned from the best, I guess, just like how young’uns learn from their elders. And he took that learnin’ and made it his own, singin’ in his own way, makin’ his own mark on the world. And part of that mark was wearing his watches, his Rolex watches, everywhere he went.
