So, I finally got my hands on a Tudor Ranger. I’d been eyeing it for a while, you know, seeing it all over Instagram and those watch forums. It just looked so…cool. Rugged, but in a classy way.

First thing I did was, obviously, rip open the box. Presentation was pretty good – nice solid box, felt premium. Then, there it was. The watch itself. I picked it up, felt the weight. It’s got some heft to it, which I like. Makes it feel substantial, you know?
I spent a good five minutes just turning it over in my hands. Checked out the case, the bracelet… all that good stuff. The finishing is really nice. Smooth, no sharp edges. The dial is super clean. I mean, really clean. Just the numbers and the Tudor logo. No date window, which I’m actually a fan of. Keeps it simple.
Getting it on my Wrist
Next up, sizing the bracelet. This part always makes me a little nervous. I don’t want to scratch it up on the very first time. Luckily, i already had a basic watch tool kit.
-
Finding the Right Tools: I grabbed my little screwdriver set – the one with all the tiny, tiny heads. Found the one that fit the screws on the bracelet links.
-
Taking Out Links: This was a bit fiddly. Those screws are SMALL. I laid the watch on a soft cloth, made sure I had good light, and carefully unscrewed a couple of links. I took out one from each side of the clasp to keep it balanced.
-
Putting it Back Together: Reversed the process, screwing everything back in. Made sure the screws were snug, but not overly tight. Don’t want to strip those threads!
-
Testing for fitting: I Tried the size on my wrist and it still not fitting well, so I took out one more and final fit.
After all this, strapped it on. Perfect fit! It felt great. Comfortable, not too heavy, not too light. Just right.
Actually Wearing the Thing
I’ve been wearing it for a few days now, and I’m really digging it. I’ve worn it to work, out to dinner, even just bumming around the house. It goes with everything. It’s that versatile.
It’s also keeping time really well. I haven’t had to adjust it at all. Which, you know, is kind of the point of a watch, right? But it’s nice when it actually works like it’s supposed to.

Overall, super happy with the Ranger. It’s a solid, good-looking watch that I think I’ll be wearing for a long time. Definitely feel like I got my money’s worth.
