Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry for, like, forever. And her engagement rings? Forget about it! Seriously, they’re legendary. So, I decided to do a deep dive and really get the story behind that famous ring.
First, I started by just Googling images. You know, just to get a good look. I spent a good hour just scrolling, seriously. So many pictures!
My Research Process
- Gathering images: I literally just used Google Images. Typed in “Elizabeth Taylor engagement ring” and bam! Tons of photos.
- Reading articles: I moved on to reading articles about the ring. Found a bunch of old magazine scans and some newer blog posts talking about it.
- Taking notes: I started a messy little notepad document and just jotted down everything that seemed important. Carat size, cut, who gave it to her (obviously!), when, where… all that stuff.
- More Images:I keep finding more images to look at and enjoy, and the more I find out.
Then I tried to find out how much it was worth. That was tricky! Prices change over time, and some articles had different numbers. It was a bit of a headache, honestly.
I also looked into the history of the ring – like, where did it come from originally? Was it a family heirloom? Turns out, it wasn’t! It was bought specifically for her, which I thought was interesting.
Finally, I compiled all my notes and tried to put it into some kind of order. It was a bit chaotic at first, but I think I got a pretty good handle on the whole story.
It was a fun little project, though! I definitely feel like I know way more about Elizabeth Taylor’s ring now than I did before. And I have even more photos saved on my computer, my friends make fun of me for it!
