Okay, so today I wanted to try out a short dress with boots. I’ve seen this look around, and honestly, it looks pretty cool and comfy, so I figured, why not give it a shot?

First things first, I picked out a dress. I went with this cute little floral number I have. It’s got a nice flow to it, nothing too fancy, just a simple, everyday kind of dress. I thought the floral pattern would pair well with some boots.
Next up, the boots. I have a few pairs, but I decided to go with my trusty ankle boots. They’re black, made of some kind of faux leather, and they have a bit of a heel, but nothing crazy. They hit just above my ankle, which I think is a good length for this kind of outfit. The dress falls a few inches above the knee, just creating a basic look.
I put on the dress first, then slipped on the boots. I stood in front of the mirror and checked myself out. Not bad! I mean, it’s a pretty simple look, but it’s got this cool, effortless vibe to it. Like I’m ready to go grab a coffee or meet up with friends, you know? I thought maybe I could wear this out to a casual brunch or something. I’m pretty sure I’d be comfortable all day, which is always a plus.
- Ankle boots are versatile, so I could probably try this with other short dresses too.
- Maybe I could add a jacket or something if it gets cold.
- I guess I can also try a mini dress with my cowboy boots next time.
Then I put on my knee high boots. They are black leather, and I think they are great with my short dress. It looks fantastic, and keeps my legs warm. It seems a racier pairing, but it is suitable for a date. I’m not very tall, so I didn’t choose calf boots. They might make me look shorter.
My Final Thoughts
So yeah, that’s my little experiment with wearing a short dress with boots. I think it turned out pretty well! It’s definitely a look I’ll be rocking again. Maybe I’ll try it with different dresses and boots, see what other combinations I can come up with. Fashion is all about experimenting, right? I had thought about adding some accessories, like a belt or a hat, but I decided to keep it simple this time. Maybe next time I’ll jazz it up a bit. I hope you found this little fashion adventure of mine helpful or at least a bit entertaining!
