Okay, so I’ve been eyeing this Saint Laurent bag on Selfridges for a while now. You know how it is when you see something shiny and you just gotta have it? Well, that was me with this bag.

First, I spent like a week just looking at the pictures online. I mean, who am I kidding, I was drooling. But it’s a big chunk of change, you know? So I started digging around to see if it was worth it.
- I read a bunch of reviews about ordering from Selfridges, especially for us folks in the US. Some people had good experiences, some not so much. Typical internet stuff, am I right?
- Then I went down the rabbit hole of figuring out which Saint Laurent bag was “the best.” Turns out, everyone has an opinion, and they all cost a pretty penny. They are all made of this soft leather, though. That sounded pretty nice.
- I even looked to see if there were other places to buy it. There is also Saint Laurent’s own store, and some other department stores, but the price was about the same everywhere.
After all that “research” (let’s be honest, it was mostly just me justifying the purchase), I finally decided to go for it. I added the bag to my cart on the Selfridges website, held my breath, and clicked “buy.”
Then came the waiting game. Every day, I checked the tracking information like a hawk. Finally, after what felt like forever, the package arrived!
I ripped open that box faster than a kid on Christmas morning. And there it was, in all its glory. The leather felt amazing, the hardware was shiny, and it was even more beautiful in person than in the pictures.
So, yeah, I’m now the proud owner of a Saint Laurent bag from Selfridges. Was it a bit of a splurge? Absolutely. But do I regret it? Not one bit. I carried that bag around, showed it off a little (maybe a lot), and felt pretty darn good about myself. And as for YSL and Saint Laurent, turns out they are pretty much the same thing, so that’s good to know. All in all, a successful shopping adventure.
