Today I wanna talk about something a bit different – those models from the 70s. Man, those ladies were something else, weren’t they? I got to thinking about them the other day and figured, why not try to bring a little of that 70s magic back to life?

So, I started digging. Looked up all those famous names like Lauren Hutton, Beverly Johnson, Jerry Hall, and Iman. These women were everywhere back then! Magazines, ads, you name it. I spent a good chunk of time just scrolling through old photos, studying their styles, and trying to figure out what made them so iconic.

  • First, I tried to recreate some of their looks. I’m no model, but I raided my closet and found some stuff that kinda fit the vibe. High-waisted jeans, flowy blouses, big sunglasses – the whole nine yards. It was actually pretty fun playing dress-up.
  • Then, I tried to mimic some of their poses. Now, this was a challenge. These ladies knew how to work the camera. I felt a bit awkward at first, but I kept at it. I watched some old clips, paid attention to how they moved, how they held themselves.
  • The makeup was another thing. I’m no pro, but I did my best to recreate that 70s look. Lots of bronzer, shimmery eyeshadow, glossy lips. It was definitely a different look from what I usually go for, but hey, that’s the fun of experimenting, right?

It’s not about perfection, it’s about having fun

In the end, did I look like a 70s supermodel? Probably not, haha. But that wasn’t really the point. The point was to pay homage to these incredible women and to have a little fun with it. And I gotta say, it was a blast. It got me out of my comfort zone and made me appreciate the artistry of those models even more.

If you’re ever looking for a little creative project, I highly recommend giving this a try. It’s a fun way to learn about a different era and to see what you can do with a little imagination and a whole lot of 70s spirit. Peace out!
