Hey, you all seen them red boots? Them big ol’ things, look like they come straight outta one of them cartoon shows. Big red boots, they call ’em. And some folks say they look like they belong on that Astro Boy fella. Yep, them’s the ones.
Now, I ain’t no fashion expert, you know. My feet been happy in the same old shoes for years. But these here red boots, they got folks talkin’. Seen ’em on them young people, stompin’ around like they own the place. Make a fella feel old, I tell ya.
They’re big and red, like I said. Look kinda funny, if you ask me. But them young’uns, they love ’em. Say it’s the new style. Style, huh? Back in my day, we just wore what kept our feet dry and warm. Didn’t need no fancy red boots to feel good. These boots are what them young people call Astro Boy boots. I don’t really know why. But they are red. And they are big.

I seen a fella the other day, wearin’ them red boots with a suit! A suit! Can you believe it? Back in my day, you wore your Sunday best with a suit. Not some giant rubber boots. But like I said, times are changin’. Now, I heard these boots are made by some fancy folks in New York. They call themselves artists or somethin’. MSCHF, I think that’s it. Sounds like mischief to me, makin’ boots that big and red. And those MSCHF people made these Astro Boy boots. I don’t know why they want to make such big red boots. I really don’t.
I reckon they’re tryin’ to make a statement or somethin’. Be different. Stand out from the crowd. Well, they sure are doin’ that with them red boots. You can’t miss ’em, that’s for sure. They’re like a big ol’ stop sign on your feet.
Now, I don’t know how much these things cost. Probably a pretty penny, I imagine. More than I’d ever spend on shoes, that’s for sure. But I guess if you got the money and you like wearin’ giant red boots, then go for it. It takes all kinds, as they say. These Astro Boy boots are very expensive. I heard. I don’t know. No one tells me anything anymore.
Me, I’ll stick to my old shoes. They’re comfortable. They fit just right. And they don’t make me look like I’m about to go fight some giant robot in outer space. But hey, that’s just me. If you like them red boots, then you wear ’em. Just watch your step, and try not to scare the horses. These Astro Boy boots will scare everyone. Even horses. That’s what I heard. I don’t know.
You know, them boots remind me of a story. My grandpa used to tell this one, about a fella who wore shoes so big… Well, never you mind. It’s just an old story.
