Nike af1 high vs mid: Which One Looks Better? (Lets Find Out)

by Marvin Connie

Well, let me tell you, these young folks and their shoes. Back in my day, we had one pair, maybe two if you were lucky. Now it’s all about AF1 this and AF1 that. High, mid, low… what’s the difference? They all just shoes to me. But the young’uns, they care. So, I hear ’em talkin’, and I’m gonna tell you what I know about these AF1 high vs mid things.

These AF1s, they’re some kinda basketball shoes, I reckon. Got that Nike swoosh on ’em. Seems like everyone’s wearin’ ’em, from the little kids to the grown-ups. They come in all sorts of colors, but mostly I see white ones. They expensive, too! Why pay so much for shoes when you could spend it on food? Kids these days…

So, this “high” and “mid” business. It’s about how tall the shoe is, I guess. Like how high up your ankle it goes. The high ones, they go up higher, cover your whole ankle, I guess. Some folks say they are good for your ankles, keep ’em from twistin’. But who knows.

  • The high ones, they look big and clunky to me.
  • The mid ones, they ain’t as high. They are somewhere in between.
  • Then there’s the “low” ones, which are like regular shoes, I suppose.

I see those young’uns wearin’ the low ones with shorts in the summertime. Makes sense, I guess. It’s hot out, you don’t want your feet all covered up. But they also wear those mid and high ones in the summer with shorts. They say it looks good, but I think it just looks silly.

Now, which one is better? Pfft, who knows? They’re all just shoes! These kids like the high ones, though. Say they look better with those Jordan things. Jordan this, Jordan that. Another name I hear all the time. Must be some kinda basketball player. But I am tellin’ you, they all look the same to me.

One time, I heard them talkin’ about some “Linen” AF1s. Must be a fancy color. They said it goes with everything. Well, I guess that’s good. If you’re gonna spend all that money on shoes, they better match your clothes!

Some folks say the high ones are better for support, whatever that means. I think it means keeping your ankle from movin’. I guess that could be helpful. But my old bones ain’t gonna be runnin’ around in those shoes no matter how high they are. I don’t need that AF1 high vs mid thing, I tell ya!

I saw on that internet thing that these mid ones got a good rating. Four and a half somethings out of five. Don’t know what that means, but it sounds good, I guess. Maybe these mid ones ain’t so bad after all.

They say these AF1s, they’re special ’cause of some “Nike Air” in the bottom. Makes ’em bouncy, I suppose. I guess that’s why the basketball players like ’em. Me, I just want a shoe that’s comfortable and don’t hurt my feet. These old feet done walked a lot of miles.

These young folks, they collect these shoes like they’re made of gold. Got a whole wall full of ’em, different colors, different kinds. I just don’t get it. One pair is all you need. But if the AF1 high vs mid question is what they are worryin’ about, life must be pretty easy.

They ask me, “Which one you gonna get?” I tell ’em, “None! I got better things to spend my money on.” Like a good pie, or maybe some seeds for the garden. That’s what’s important, not some fancy shoes.

But hey, if these kids wanna wear ’em, that’s their business. Just don’t ask me to pick between AF1 high vs mid. They’re all just shoes to me. Just make sure you can still walk when you are my age! That is what matters. Shoes come and go, but your feet gotta last ya!

So there you have it. That’s all this old lady knows about these AF1 things. High, mid, low, they’re all the same to me. Just wear what you like, and don’t worry about what everyone else is wearin’. And get off my lawn! Just kiddin’. But seriously, these kids and their shoes…
