Alright, so I recently had to deal with a return at Neiman Marcus, and let me tell you, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I bought this dress online, super cute, but when it arrived, it just didn’t fit right. You know how it is with online shopping sometimes.

First things first, I dug through my emails to find the order confirmation and receipt. They are always sending so many emails! Luckily, I found it after a while. Then I checked their website for the return policy. It said I had 30 days to return it, which was a relief. For some items like CHANEL, only 14 days, so sad. I was worried I’d be stuck with it. Luckily, I kept the receipt and packing slip.
- Found the receipt: Check. It was in my email.
- Checked the return policy: Okay, 30 days, I was still good.
Now, Neiman Marcus gives you options. You can either mail it back or return it to a store. I hate dealing with shipping, so I decided to just go to the store near me.
At the store, I went straight to the customer service desk. I handed over the dress, the receipt, and I also had the original tags and packaging, just in case. I didn’t want any issues. The lady at the counter was really nice. She took everything and processed the return pretty quickly.
She told me the refund would go back to my original payment method, which was my credit card. It took a few days, but I saw the refund on my statement. Done!
Overall, it was a pretty smooth experience. I was in and out of the store in maybe 20 minutes. Just make sure you keep all your paperwork, and you should be fine if you ever need to make a return at Neiman Marcus.

What I learned:
- Always keep your receipts and packing slips.
- Returning to the store is way easier than mailing something back.
- Read the return policy carefully, especially the time limit and what items are not included.
It was much easier than I expected, and I got my money back with no problem. So don’t worry about it! Just keep these in mind, and you are good to go.
