So, I saw this girl, Madison Welch, popping up all over my feed, and I gotta say, she’s stunning. I was like, “I need to know more about this girl.” So, I started digging around to see what I could find. There are a lot of people named that so I filtered through the noise and found her social media accounts. I spent quite a while looking at them.
Getting Started
First, I just checked out her socials to get a feel for her style. She’s got that classic, elegant look. I went through all her photos, just taking it all in. I saved a bunch of her pictures in a folder on my desktop. I named it “Madison Inspo” so that whenever I needed a reminder I could easily find it.
The Process
Then, I started thinking about how I could maybe try out some of her looks. I mean, I’m no model, but I figured I could at least try to capture some of that vibe. I went through my closet and picked out some pieces that seemed similar to what she wears. I also looked at her makeup. Seems pretty simple, but still, it makes her look great. I went through my makeup bag to see what I had that might work. I had most of it but I was missing a few things so I put them on my shopping list.
I started getting some clothes together. I don’t have a great sense of style myself so I just pulled everything out and started trying things on. Some of them looked pretty terrible but I did find a few that weren’t that bad. At least, I don’t think they were. I took some pictures with my phone so I could look at them later.
Next, I hit up YouTube for some makeup tutorials. I searched for “natural makeup look” and found a bunch of videos. I watched a few of them and practiced along. It was a mess at first, ngl. Mascara everywhere, uneven eyeliner, the whole nine yards. But hey, practice makes perfect, right? I kept at it, wiping it off and starting over until I got something that looked halfway decent.
Next, I went to the store to get the makeup I was missing. I’m not going to tell you what it was because I can’t remember. When I got home I tried putting it all together. I think it turned out pretty well. I put on one of the outfits I picked out and did my makeup like the girl in the video showed. I’m pretty sure I looked like a clown, but I felt good, so that’s something, right?
Putting It All Together
After a few days of practicing, I felt like I was starting to get the hang of it. I put on my best outfit, did my hair and makeup, and set up my phone to take some pictures. I tried to copy some of Madison’s poses, but it was harder than it looked. I must have taken a hundred pictures, trying to get the right angle and lighting. Most of them were awful but I got a few that I thought were kind of cute.
The Final Result
So, yeah, that’s my little experiment with trying to channel my inner Madison Welch. It was fun, and I learned a few things along the way. I even got my confidence boosted a bit. Maybe I’ll try this again sometime with another model. Who knows?
