Alright, let’s gab about this Melania, the fashion lady, you know? Folks keep yappin’ about her clothes, so I figured, why not throw my two cents in, eh? Don’t expect no fancy words from me, I just say what I see. This fashion stuff, it ain’t rocket science, even I can tell if somethin’ looks good or if it looks like a dog’s breakfast.

Now, this Melania, she always looks put-together, like she ain’t never lifted a finger in her life. I seen pictures, you know, on them internets and such. They say she wears real expensive stuff. Well, I guess that’s what happens when your man’s the president, or used to be, or whatever. They said somethin’ ’bout her wearin’ a grey suit when her husband beat that Kamala woman. A “double-breasted” one, they called it. Sounded fancy, looked plain enough to me, but I guess that’s what they call “elegance” in the city. Heck, back in my day, a suit was a suit, and that was that.
Then there’s all this talk ‘bout her bein’ “classic.” Yeah, well, she ain’t wearin’ no ripped jeans or them belly shirts the young’uns wear, that’s for sure. Lots of suits, pants and skirts both. Makes sense, I guess. When you gotta look all proper and presidential, you can’t be showin’ too much skin or wearin’ somethin’ that looks like it got caught in a wood chipper. They said somethin’ ‘bout her wearin’ a jacket open with a white shirt and them red-bottomed shoes. Heels, they call ’em. Probably cost more than my whole house, I reckon. Makes you wonder how she walks in them things, all day long, smilin’ and shakin’ hands. My feet would be killin’ me, I tell ya.
- The “Power” Suits: Lots of these, I tell ya. Makes her look like she means business. Probably helps when you’re dealin’ with all them politicians.

They call it “classic elegance,” I call it lookin’ presentable. You know, like you’re ready to go to church or a weddin’ or somethin’. Maybe that’s what fashion is, just makin’ sure you look good for whatever you gotta do. And I guess when you’re the president’s wife, you gotta look good a lot.
The Bottom Line, As I See It
So, what’s the big deal about Melania’s fashion? I reckon it’s just that she knows how to dress herself. She knows what looks good on her, and she sticks to it. And maybe, just maybe, that’s all fashion really is. Findin’ what you like, what makes you feel good, and wearin’ it with confidence. Even if it costs more than a whole farm, I guess. At the end of the day she dresses nice and seems polite enough in them pictures. That’s good enough for me.

And don’t let me forget about that inauguration day, you know, when that Biden fella took over. They said Melania wore somethin’ totally different than what other folks were wearin’. “Contrasting looks” they called it. I didn’t see nothin’ wrong with it. She looked alright to me. Folks always gotta find somethin’ to complain about, don’t they? Seems like no matter what she wears, somebody’s gonna have somethin’ to say. But hey, that’s life in the big city, I guess. Here in my town, we just wear what’s clean and comfortable.
Anyways, that’s my two cents on this Melania and her clothes. Like I said, I ain’t no expert. Just an old woman with eyes in my head. And what I see is a woman who knows how to dress. Good for her, I say. Good for her.
What’s It All Mean Anyways?
So, they call her older and wiser and expect her to uphold some kinda dignity for the whole country through her clothes, huh? That’s a tall order if you ask me. But I guess if anyone can do it, it’s probably someone with a closet full of them fancy duds and a whole heap of money to spend on ‘em. Makes you think, don’t it? All that money, all them clothes… just to look good. Well, I guess there’s worse things in the world.
At the end of the day, she’s just a woman, like me and you, just with more fancy clothes and probably a lot less wrinkles. And that’s all there is to it, far as I’m concerned.
