Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “Maison Margiela Kanye” thing popping up everywhere online, and I was like, “What’s the deal?” I’m no fashion expert, but I do appreciate a good design, and I’m always down to learn something new. So, I decided to do a little digging and see what I could make of it myself.
First, I spent like an hour just scrolling through images. I pored over pictures of Kanye wearing Margiela, pictures of Margiela runway shows, everything I could find. I wanted to get a feel for the overall vibe, you know?
My Deep Dive
I watched a few videos. Let me tell you, it’s a whole different world! But it started to make sense. Margiela is all about that deconstructed, raw, almost unfinished look. And Kanye? He’s all about pushing boundaries, being unique. So, it clicked – their styles, although different, kind of complement each other.
Then came the fun part – trying to incorporate some of that Margiela influence into my own wardrobe. Now, I’m not about to drop thousands on a jacket, so I had to get creative. I started with what I had.

The Result
Honestly, it’s not perfect. My “creations” are definitely more “inspired by” than “replica of” Margiela. But that’s okay! The whole point was to try something new, to step outside my comfort zone, and to understand the aesthetic a little better. And I did that! Plus, I ended up with some unique pieces that I actually really like. I might even try customizing some more stuff. It’s surprisingly fun!
