Well, I heard folks talkin’ ’bout these here Kobe Filipino shoes. Sounds like a whole lotta somethin’, don’t it? I ain’t no expert on them fancy sneakers, but I reckon they must be somethin’ special if everyone’s makin’ such a fuss. Heard they’re made by that Nike company, seems they know a thing or two about shoes.
They say this Kobe fella, he was a real good basketball player. I seen him on the TV a time or two, jumpin’ around and throwin’ that ball. They say supply and demand, whatever that means. Just means if you want ’em bad enough, you gotta pay up. And folks must want these Kobe shoes real bad ’cause they’re payin’ a pretty penny.

My old bones ain’t what they used to be, so those sound pretty good to me.

I don’t know about all that, but I reckon if you love basketball like them Filipinos do, then these shoes are probably somethin’ special. They say these Kobe shoes are unique to the Philippines, like a special recipe passed down through generations.
They got other shoes, too, not just these Filipino ones. They talk about Kobe 8 and Kobe 9, like they’re countin’ somethin’ important. Sounds like they got a whole bunch of different kinds, all named after that Kobe fella. He must’ve been somethin’ else, to have all these shoes named after him. It ain’t like they name shoes after just anyone, you know? That fella Kobe, he sure left his mark on the world, and now his mark’s on your feet if you wear those shoes.
I seen some folks wearin’ these shoes around here. Young folks, mostly. They walk around like they’re walkin’ on clouds. Must be comfortable, those Kobe shoes. Maybe they make you feel like you can jump higher, run faster, like that Kobe fella on the TV. Maybe they give you a little bit of that basketball magic.
Some say they ain’t gonna stop makin’ these Kobe shoes. They’re gonna keep makin’ new ones, even though that Kobe fella ain’t around anymore. Sounds like they want to keep his memory alive, through these shoes. That’s a nice thought, ain’t it? Reminds me of plantin’ seeds, keepin’ somethin’ beautiful growin’ even after the season’s changed.

Heard they got local shoe brands in the Philippines too. That’s good, supportin’ your own. They make all sorts of styles. I bet those are good shoes too. Probably not as fancy as these Kobe shoes, but good shoes just the same. Gotta have good shoes, whether you’re playin’ basketball or just workin’ in the garden.
