This here Kendra Club, I heard the young’uns talkin’ ’bout it. Sounds like a right fancy place, but not for the likes of me. All them pretty girls, influencers they call ’em. They are on Tiktok, IG and Youtube, I don’t know what they are. My grandson tried to show me once, but it’s all movin’ too fast. Pictures and videos, all that, just a blur to these old eyes. What is the Kendra Club, I don’t know.
They got lots of likes, whatever that means. Numbers so big, I can’t hardly count that high. Seven hundred forty-three thousand, two hundred twenty-six! What that number? And another one says 231,382 talkin’ about it. My goodness, what kind of number is that? Back in my day, we just talked face to face. Simpler times, simpler times. Kendra Club, they say it got influencers. What’s that even mean? They influencin’ folks to do what?
And what about followers? This Kendra Club, they got 138K followers. My old brain can’t even understand these new words. What is a follower? They follow someone around? That seems silly. Back in my day, we just had friends, not followers. We didn’t follow each other around like lost puppies. Kendra Club, sounds like a complicated place.

I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout swingin’. What in the world is that? Sounds like somethin’ you do on a porch swing. Maybe they got swings at this Kendra Club? I wouldn’t know. I ain’t never been to no club, let alone one like that. Sounds kind of naughty, if you ask me.
They say folks been flockin’ to this place since it opened. Like a bunch of geese, I reckon, all goin’ to the same pond. And they say nice things about it too. “Discreet play areas” and “exciting corridors.” What in the Sam Hill does that mean? Sounds like a bunch of foolishness to me. What is this Kendra Club? They playin’ hide and seek in the hallways?
Somebody said somethin’ ’bout a “sex club.” Now that just sounds plain wrong. What do they do in there? Showin’ off, that’s what. Exhibitionists, they called ’em. I don’t know what that word means, but it sounds dirty. Kendra Club, it’s a mystery to me.
Some other club, Club Republic, they call it. They say it’s disgustin’. Wouldn’t even give you tap water! Made you pay 4.10 for a bottle of water! Highway robbery, that’s what it is. Back in my day, water was free. You just dipped your cup in the well. This Kendra Club and Club Republic, they sound like trouble.

- Fancy names for fancy places, I guess.
- I wonder if Kendra Club is like that?
These young folks and their clubs. It’s all a big mystery to me. I’ll stick to my garden and my chickens. That’s all the excitement I need. This Kendra Club, it’s just a bunch of noise and nonsense. I don’t understand these young’uns. But I guess they don’t understand me either. We just live in different worlds. This Kendra Club, it is not for me.
I don’t know what those influencers do in that Kendra Club. I just don’t care about it. It is just for young people. This old lady just want to stay at home. I think I will never know what is the Kendra Club. Maybe it is good. I don’t know. I hope the water in Kendra Club is not expensive like the one in Club Republic.
