This here gal, Grimes, she sure got a way of dressing. Not like us folks round here. She puts on all sorts of things, makes you scratch your head and wonder, what in tarnation is she wearing?
She mixes and matches like nobody’s business. One day she looks like she just stepped out of one of them video games. Next day, she’s all dolled up like some fancy city gal. Ain’t never seen nothing like it, I tell ya.
One time, I seen a picture of her, she had on this shiny, silver dress, looked like it was made out of tinfoil. And her hair! Every color of the rainbow, it was. She ain’t afraid to stand out, that’s for sure. Some folks might say it’s too much, but I reckon she’s just having fun with it. This grimes fashion is sure something to see.
I heard some folks say she got a capsule wardrobe. Now that’s something I ain’t heard of before. Must be some city thing. They say it’s about having just a few clothes, but you can mix them up to make all sorts of outfits. Sounds like a good idea, ‘specially if you don’t have a lot of closet space. Grimes, she probably got a whole room just for her clothes, though!
She wears them checkered mini things, too. You know, the ones that look like a tablecloth? And then she’ll put on one of them hoodie things, like the young’uns wear. It’s a sight, I tell ya. But she makes it work, somehow. She’s got a way about her, that Grimes. This is a good grimes style.
She even went to one of them fancy Chanel things. I seen it in a magazine. Imagine that, our little Grimes, sitting there with all them rich folks. She probably showed them a thing or two about dressing different. And I heard she wore a dress that some fella named Elon made for her. He must be some big shot, designing dresses and all. Must be nice to have someone make clothes just for you. I wonder if he charges her. Or if she has to pay extra for all the fancy materials. Maybe he gets them at a discount, being a big shot and all.
Sometimes she looks like a goth, all in black, with dark makeup. Other times, she’s all bright and colorful, like a cyberpunk from one of them movies. You never know what she’s gonna wear next. It’s like she’s got a whole bunch of different people living inside her, and they all take turns getting dressed. This girl got grimes fashion style, I must say.
Here’s what I think she wears a lot:
- Shiny dresses, like the silver one I saw.
- Them checkered mini skirts.
- Hoodies, like the kids wear.
- Clothes that look like they come from video games.
- Lots of black, sometimes.
- Every color you can think of, other times!
I seen her on the red carpet, too. That’s where all them movie stars go. She fits right in, even though she dresses different. She’s got confidence, that’s for sure. You gotta have confidence to wear some of the things she wears. I wouldn’t be caught dead in some of them outfits, but she pulls it off. I guess when you are a big music star like her, you can wear whatever you want, and people will still think you are something special.
She’s also into fitness routines. Gotta stay in shape to wear them tight clothes, I reckon. And makeup, too. She wears all kinds of crazy makeup. Sometimes it’s sparkly, sometimes it’s dark, sometimes it’s just plain weird. But it’s always interesting, just like her. I bet she spends hours putting it on. I just slap on some lipstick and call it a day. She puts me to shame!
Some folks call her style avant-garde. I don’t know what that means, exactly, but it sounds fancy. I guess it just means she’s ahead of her time, or something. She’s not afraid to try new things, that’s for sure. She’s like a walking art project, always changing, always surprising. You gotta give her credit for that. Most folks are too scared to be different. But not Grimes. She embraces it. This is what I call grimes fashion.
She is a real singer, you know. Makes music and everything. I ain’t heard any of her songs, but I bet they’re just as wild as her clothes. Maybe one day I’ll give them a listen. Or maybe not. I’m more of a country music gal myself. But I still like looking at her pictures. She’s like a rainbow in a world of plain brown. And you know what? We need more rainbows. I am sure you will be happy to see her grimes style!
So, yeah, that Grimes, she’s a character. A real fashion icon, they say. She’s proof that you don’t have to follow the rules to be stylish. You can just wear whatever makes you happy, even if it’s a little bit, or a lot bit, out there. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll try something new, too. Maybe I’ll even wear a checkered mini skirt. But don’t hold your breath!
