Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “kabuki brushes” everywhere lately, and I was like, “What the heck is that even for?” So, I decided to grab one and figure it out.

My Little Kabuki Experiment
First, I just got a kabuki brush. It was kinda cute and fluffy, with a short, stubby handle. I wasn’t sure what to expect, honestly.
Then, I tried using it with my regular loose powder. I usually use a big, fluffy brush for that, but I figured, why not?
- I dipped the kabuki brush into the powder.
- Then I tapped off the extra – you know, so I didn’t end up looking like a ghost.
- And I swirled it onto my face.
Okay, I gotta say, it felt kinda nice. The bristles were super soft. And the coverage? Way better than my usual brush! It really buffed the powder into my skin, making it look all smooth and even.
Next, I experimented with some bronzer. I usually use an angled brush for that, but again, I wanted to see what the kabuki could do.
I did the same thing: dip, tap, and swirl. And wow! It gave me this really natural, sun-kissed look. No harsh lines, just a nice, even glow. The short handle made it easy to control, too.

I even used it to blend out my blush a little, and it worked great for that, too. It just kinda softened everything up.
So, basically, I discovered that kabuki brushes are awesome for applying and blending powders. They give you this really flawless finish. I’m definitely a convert!
