Man, I’ve been eyeing those Jordan 12s Taxis for a while now. They just scream classic, you know? I remember seeing them back in the day when I was a kid, and they always stuck with me. So, I finally decided to pull the trigger and cop a pair.

First, I started hitting up all the usual spots online. Checked out a few different retailers, comparing prices and availability. I really wanted to make sure I got an authentic pair, so I was being extra careful. After some digging, I found a few stores that had them in stock. But I knew there will be an official release date from some stores that I always buy from, they have good reputation.
The Air Jordan 12 Retro “Taxi Flip” was said to be released on Saturday, May 25th. So I marked my calendar and make sure to visit that store at that date.
When May 25th arrived, I woke up early and head to the store. I went straight to the Jordan section, and there they were, in all their glory. The black and white colorway with those gold accents just pops, you know? I quickly found my size and tried them on. They fit like a glove, super comfortable. The embossed lizard skin, radiating stitched pattern, that Jumpman logo on the tongue – everything was on point.
I decided to purchase it. I’m so stoked to finally have them. They’re definitely going to be a staple in my rotation.
I even heard rumors that they might be re-releasing the original “Taxi” colorway sometime in the Holiday of 2025. If that’s true, you know I’ll be all over that. I might need to start saving up now!

It might be just a sneaker for others, but for me, it brings back the vibe of the 1996–1997 NBA season when Michael Jordan was dominating the court.
These kicks are more than just shoes; they’re a piece of history. And now, they’re a part of my history, too. Can’t wait to rock them and turn some heads.
