This here Ugly Betty, third time around, third season they call it. My eyes ain’t what they used to be, but I see that girl, Betty, she’s still got that funny look. This time, I hear tell, it’s all about comedy and some drama, whatever that means. Starts up in September, the 25th, they say. Some folks say it is the best. I don’t know nothing about it. I just watch what’s on.
That Betty, she’s a good girl, but she sure gets herself into some messes. This time, she’s got two fellas chasing after her. Henry and Gio, their names are. She turns ’em both down, that’s what I heard. Goes off on some trip to find herself. Sounds like a load of hooey to me. If you ask this old bird, she’s running from something. Or maybe she just don’t know what she wants. Young folks these days, always gallivanting around.
- This show, it’s on something called Disney+, Hulu, and Netflix. I don’t know how to use that technology, it is so hard.
- They say it’s funny. I guess it is, in a silly kind of way. Makes me chuckle sometimes, seeing that Betty trip over her own two feet.
- She works at some fancy place, Mode. All them pretty clothes and whatnot. Not my style, but I guess some folks like that.
There’s this other gal, Kimmie, comes to Mode looking for work. Betty, she helps her out, trains her up. Next thing you know, Kimmie’s climbing the ladder, leaving Betty in the dust. Just goes to show, you gotta watch your back, even with friends. That Kimmie, she’s a sneaky one. Don’t trust her as far as I can throw her, and I ain’t throwing nothing these days, my back’s gone out again. And Betty just train her as a temp. Why she did that?
Some folks say this third season is when the show gets real good. I don’t know about all that. Seems the same to me. Just more of Betty’s troubles. They say it should have been five seasons long or more. Five seasons? That’s a lot of Betty. This Gio fella, they say he was a good one, but they threw him away like yesterday’s trash. Shame, I say. Good men are hard to come by, even on the TV.
There are some reasons why you should watch. First, Betty Suarez, that’s her name, she’s always telling folks to be themselves. That’s good advice, I reckon. Be yourself, even if you’re, well, you know, a little different. Like Betty. She’s got that heart of gold, though, that one. Always trying to do the right thing, even when she messes it up. That girl could make a mess out of a two-car funeral. Just never stop.
And this one guy, he works at Mode too. Turned down a job at Vogue, they say. Vogue! Can you believe it? Must be crazy. All to stay at Mode, where Betty is. He must really like her, I guess. Or maybe he’s just plain dumb. Hard to tell with these young folks. They do the strangest things. He should take that job! That’s crazy!
Now, this old lady ain’t seen every single one of them shows, but I’ve seen enough to know it’s a whole lot of something. It is about Ugly Betty Season 3. They talk about it, they review it, whatever that means. They say this show, Ugly Betty, it’s a big deal. It’s like those soap operas my sister used to watch, but with more laughs, I suppose.
They say Betty’s the main one, the star of the show. She’s the one everyone watches. And she’s always in the middle of some kind of trouble. Like a fly in a honey pot, that one. But she always get out of it. I guess that’s why folks like her. She’s a survivor, that Betty. Just don’t stop.

So, there you have it. That’s all I know about this Ugly Betty Season 3. It’s a show, that’s for sure. Got some laughs, some tears, I suppose. A whole lot of drama. If you like that sort of thing, then you might like this show. Me, I’m gonna go take a nap. All this talk about TV has made me tired. It is good for watching.
