Then I hit Reddit. I figured real people would give me the honest truth. Some people raved about the unique styles and variety on ASOS. Others warned that it’s hit or miss. You might get a great piece, or you might get something that feels like it’ll fall apart after one wash. It’s important to note that most people find its own brand ASOS Design to be of good quality, especially considering its price.
My Own Experiment
I decided to order a few things to see for myself. I picked a couple of basic tank tops and a sweatshirt from ASOS Design. I also threw in a dress from another brand they carry, just to compare. Here are my orders.

- ASOS DESIGN tank top 2 – also simple, white, affordable.
- ASOS DESIGN sweatshirt – grey, looked comfy, a bit pricier than the tank tops.

The Verdict
The package arrived pretty quickly. I tried everything on right away. Here’s the thing:
- The ASOS Design tank tops and sweatshirt? Actually pretty decent. They felt soft, the stitching looked okay, and they fit well. For the price, I was impressed.
- The dress from the other brand? Meh. The material felt kinda cheap, and the fit was a bit off. It wasn’t terrible, but it definitely wasn’t as good as the ASOS Design stuff.
Based on my little experiment, I’d say ASOS Design is worth checking out, especially for basics. It seems like you get what you pay for. If you’re looking for super high-end quality, you’ll probably want to look elsewhere (and spend more money). But for everyday stuff that looks good and won’t break the bank, ASOS Design seems like a solid option. As for the other brands they carry, it’s probably a good idea to read reviews before you buy. I’ll definitely be browsing ASOS again, but I’ll be a bit more cautious about the brands I choose.
