Hublot Sang Bleu 2 Review: Is This Watch Worth It?

by Adelaide Davy

Alright, let’s talk about this here Hublot Sang Bleu 2 watch. Folks keep jabberin’ about it, so I figured I’d put in my two cents, you know? Don’t expect no fancy words from me, I just call it like I see it.

Hublot Sang Bleu 2 Review: Is This Watch Worth It?

First off, this thing ain’t cheap. Not one bit. They say it’s a “luxury” watch, which I guess means it costs more than my old mule, Bessie. But why, you ask? Well, they tell me it’s ’cause they don’t make too many of ’em. And folks want what they can’t have, ain’t that the truth? So, the price goes up, up, up, like a kite in a windstorm.

Now, this Hublot, it looks… different. Real different. It ain’t your grandpappy’s pocket watch, that’s for sure. Got all these angles and lines, like someone took a ruler and went wild. They say it looks like a “porthole,” which I guess is a fancy word for a window on a ship. I ain’t never seen a ship up close, but I reckon it must be somethin’ special if they makin’ watches that look like it.

The fella at the store, he told me it’s made of this “ceramic” stuff. Sounded fancy, but I touched it, and it felt…hard. Like a good ol’ plate, but maybe a bit shinier. He said it don’t scratch easy, which is good, I guess. Nothin’ worse than scratchin’ up somethin’ you paid a whole lot of money for.

  • The Design: Like I said, it’s all angles and lines. Some folks love it, some folks hate it. Me? I’m still tryin’ to figure it out. It’s kinda like modern art, you know? You look at it and you think, “What in the world is that?” But then, the more you look, the more you… well, you still might not get it, but it’s different, that’s for sure.
  • The Price: Don’t even get me started. This thing costs more than most folks make in a month. Maybe two months. Why? I couldn’t rightly tell ya. Something about fancy insides and special parts, they say. Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me, but what do I know?
  • The Brand: Hublot. Sounds French, don’t it? They say it’s a big deal in the watch world. Like the Cadillac of watches, I guess. Makes you feel important wearin’ it, even if you’re just goin’ to the grocery store.

They also told me that these watches, they hold their value. That means if you buy one now, you might be able to sell it for more later. Like a piece of land or somethin’. But I don’t know about that. Seems to me, once you buy somethin’, it’s used, right? But these city folk, they got their own ways of thinkin’.

Is it worth the money? That’s the million-dollar question, ain’t it? Well, if you got money to burn, I guess it don’t matter. But if you’re like me, workin’ hard for every penny, I’d say there’s better things to spend your money on. A good pair of boots, a reliable truck, maybe a nice piece of land. Things that’ll last and that you can use every day. This Hublot Sang Bleu 2, it might be fancy, but it ain’t gonna help you plow a field or fix a fence.

But hey, to each their own. If you want a watch that looks like somethin’ from outer space and costs more than a cow, go right ahead. Just don’t come cryin’ to me when you can’t afford to pay your bills. I told you it was expensive, right? And I ain’t lyin’, not even a little bit.

So, what’s the bottom line? It’s a fancy, expensive watch. If you like the way it looks and you got the money, buy it. If not, there’s plenty of other watches out there that’ll tell you the time just as good, and maybe even leave you with enough money to buy a nice steak dinner.

And that’s all I got to say about the Hublot Sang Bleu 2. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I got chores to do.
