Okay, so I’ve got this Coach purse, right? It’s not huge, just a small one, but I really like it. Thing is, it started looking a bit grimy, and I wanted to clean it up without messing it up. So, I did what any normal person would do and I looked it up online and found some different ways on how to do it.

First, I emptied everything out. You wouldn’t believe the junk I found in there, seriously, it’s like a black hole in there.
- Checked the material. Mine’s got both fabric and leather parts, so I figured I needed to be careful with how I cleaned each part.
- For the fabric, I read that some folks use a spray carpet cleaner, which sounded a bit wild to me, but okay. I didn’t have any of that, so I just grabbed a soft brush and some mild soap, then mixed it with water.
- I dipped the brush in the soapy water, made sure it wasn’t soaking wet, and gently scrubbed the fabric parts. I was kind of nervous, not going to lie, but it seemed to be working.
- Then came the leather. I remembered seeing special leather cleaners, even some by Coach itself, but I didn’t have those either. So I just used the same mild soap solution, dampened a cloth, and carefully wiped the leather parts.
- After cleaning, I rinsed out the cloth with clean water, wiped down the whole bag to get rid of any soap, and then patted it dry with another clean towel.
- I left it to air dry away from direct sunlight. I read somewhere that heat can damage the leather, so I wasn’t taking any chances.
My Cleaning Steps
It took a while to dry completely, but it was worth it. The purse looked so much better, almost like new. I was pretty proud of myself for not ruining it. Plus, I found a couple of bucks and some old lip balm while I was emptying it out, so that’s a win, right? Now, I just need to find some leather moisturizer or something to keep it looking good. I saw Coach has their own, so maybe I’ll check that out.
Anyway, that’s my little adventure in purse cleaning. Not exactly rocket science, but hey, it worked!
