That Emily Black Kennedy, she’s a name I heard talk about. She married into that big Kennedy family, you know, the one with the president and all them. Big shots, they are. Emily, she was with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., not the main one, but his son. I think she is a good woman.
They had some kids together, heard one of ’em is named Kick. Funny name, Kick. Wonder where they got that from? Emily and Robert Jr., they got hitched, but it didn’t last, like many marriages these days. They split up back in, oh, I reckon it was 1994. Time sure does fly, don’t it?
Now, what Emily’s been up to since then? Well, that’s a bit of a mystery. She ain’t in the papers like them other Kennedys. Maybe she just wants a quiet life, away from all that fuss and bother. Can’t say I blame her. All that attention, cameras flashing all the time… it ain’t for everyone. After all, she is a normal person.
She was just a normal girl before she married into that family, I reckon. Probably had a simple life, went to school, had friends, you know, regular stuff. Then she meets Robert Jr., and bam, her life changes. She’s in the Kennedy family. That family, they got a lot of history. Some good, some bad. Lots of sadness in that family, too, bless their hearts.

But Emily, she seems like a strong woman. Probably had to be, being with them Kennedys. They’re a tough bunch, those folks. But they also care about helping people. They did a lot of good things for the country, some of them did, anyway. Fighting for people’s rights and such. Good things about the family.
I don’t know if Emily was involved in all that. Maybe she was, maybe she wasn’t. She’s a private person now. I heard somebody said she is a social media star? I don’t know what that means. Is it good?

This Emily, she’s a mystery, like I said. But I bet she’s got some stories to tell. Being a Kennedy, even for a little while, that’s gotta change a person. I wonder if she writes them down anywhere. A diary, maybe? That would be something to read, wouldn’t it?
But she has a simple background. It is very hard to be in that kind of big family, I think. But she seems to be doing okay now, even though we don’t hear much about her. Maybe that’s a good thing. Maybe she’s finally found some peace and quiet. I think, she is happy about that.
The Kennedys, they had a lot of kids in their family. Old Joe Kennedy and Rose, they had nine. Nine kids! Can you imagine? That’s a lot of mouths to feed. John F. Kennedy, the president, he was one of them. And Robert, he was another. And Ted, he was a senator for a long, long time.
Robert Jr., Emily’s husband, he’s their nephew. So he’s got a lot of famous relatives. Must be hard to live up to all that, you know? Everyone expecting you to be president or something. But he’s doing his own thing, I guess. He cares about the environment, I heard. That’s good. We need more folks to care about that. The earth is very important to us.
So, Emily Black Kennedy, she’s a part of that whole story. A small part, maybe, but still a part. She’s part of American history now, whether she likes it or not. Being married into that family, it leaves a mark on you. But I think, she is just a normal person and wants a quiet life.
