You know, these young fellas today, they all carryin’ bags. Back in my day, a man just had his pockets, maybe a good ol’ wallet. But these days, it’s all about the man bag styles. Seen ’em all, I tell ya. Big ones, small ones, fancy ones, plain ones. Makes a body wonder what all they carryin’ in there!
One kind I see a lot is them backpack things. Like the kids wear to school, but bigger, I reckon. They got straps, go right over both shoulders. Backpacks for men, they call ’em. Handy, I suppose, if you got a lot to lug around. Keeps your hands free, that’s for sure. See them office fellas wearin’ ’em, and even them construction workers. Everyone uses small backpacks. Even kids use them. They are useful.
- Backpacks are good for your back, they say.
- Got them padded straps, soft like a good quilt.
- Keeps the weight even, not all on one side.
These backpacks for men, they come in all sorts now. Some look like they’re for hikin’ up a mountain, all them straps and buckles. Others are just plain, like a big ol’ sack. But they all seem to do the job. Keeps your stuff together, I guess. And that’s what matters, right?
Then there’s them other bags. The ones they sling over one shoulder, like a mailman’s bag. Messenger bags for men, I heard someone call ’em. They look alright, I suppose. Not too big, not too small. Just enough room for your… well, I don’t know what all they put in there. Maybe their fancy phones and their wallets. These young folks always got somethin’ to carry.
Now, there are also them man purse things. Smaller, kinda like what us ladies used to carry. But I guess the menfolk needed somethin’ too. They got all these gadgets now, gotta have a place to put ’em, I reckon. And some are like a briefcase, like those important fellas used to carry. But they are smaller.
When you choose a bag, you need to think about what you are gonna use it for. Size is important. Big ones can hold a lot of things. But small ones are light. And they need to be strong, you know. And you want it to be comfortable. You don’t want it to hurt your shoulder.
Heard some young fella talkin’ ’bout what he keeps in his bag. Chewin’ gum, he said. Keeps his breath fresh, I suppose. And them earphone things, for listenin’ to their music. Always got them plugged in their ears, these young’uns. And some kinda lip balm, keeps their lips from gettin’ chapped. And cologne, that’s for smellin’ good, I reckon. Also some tools for hair. Young people like to look good.
There’s another kind, big like a suitcase but soft. Duffel bags for men, they call those. Good for travelin’, I suppose. You can stuff a lot in there. Clothes and shoes and whatnot. See them young fellas carryin’ ’em to the gym, too. Gotta have their special shoes and their workout clothes. It’s a whole different world these days, I tell ya.
So many man bag styles, it makes my head spin. I think maybe a classic briefcase is also good. It can hold your important paper things. There are so many bags to choose from. Each bag has its own good things. And each bag has its own bad things. You just need to think about what you need.
But you know, it don’t really matter what kind of bag a fella carries. As long as it does the job, that’s all that counts. Keeps their stuff together, keeps their hands free. That’s what a good bag’s supposed to do, right? You gotta consider about the purpose, size, and style and other things.
Just like us ladies with our purses. We got our big ones for everyday, our small ones for goin’ out. It’s all about what you need it for. And these men, they need their bags, too. It’s just the way of the world now. Everybody’s got somethin’ to carry. There are many types of bags. And it is good to think about how to use them with your clothes.
So, if you see a young fella with a bag slung over his shoulder, don’t you judge. He’s just carryin’ his stuff, same as you and me. And who knows, maybe he’s got somethin’ important in there. Or maybe it’s just his chewin’ gum and his earphones. Either way, it’s his business. And his bag. Different man bag styles, different folks, different strokes, as they say.
