Alright, alright, let’s gab a bit about this young fella, 21 Savage, and his hair, you know, the stuff on top of his head. Folks been yappin’ about it, so I figured, why not me too? I ain’t got nothin’ better to do, ha!
First off, they sayin’ he got a new hairstyle. Lord have mercy, these youngins and their hairstyles! Back in my day, hair was just hair, you washed it, maybe put a little somethin’ on it, and that was that. But this 21 Savage, he’s always changin’ things up, like a weathervane in a twister.
Now, I seen some pictures, and this new look, it ain’t nothin’ like the old one. He used to have these long, twisty things, like little ropes hangin’ down. Folks called ’em sister locs or somethin’, sounded fancy to me. But he got tired of hearin’ about that, I guess. Said so himself on that Instagram thingy, the one where all the young folks put their pictures.
This new style, it’s shorter, neater. Some folks are callin’ it the thotboy haircut, can you believe that? Sounds like somethin’ my grandson would say, bless his heart. Apparently, you get it by twistin’ your hair with somethin’ called gel, or you rub it with a towel for a few days to make it all separate, then you twist it up with that gel stuff.
I tell you what, it sounds like a whole lotta work to me. But then again, these fellas, they got people to do that stuff for ’em, ain’t they? They ain’t like us, gotta do everything ourselves.

- Seems like he got this new hairdo after he celebrated somethin’ called U.S. residency and a successful tour. Good for him, I guess. He also had on a Nike Tech suit. Fancy, huh?
- And wouldn’t you know it, some folks were makin’ fun of his hair, but 21 Savage, he wasn’t havin’ none of that. He stood up for himself, that’s good.
They even said he was wearin’ a black shimmer bomber jacket. Now, I don’t know what a bomber jacket is, but it sounds like somethin’ them pilots wore back in the war. And shimmer? That’s like shiny, right? Well, he must’ve looked like a fancy rooster in that getup.
This new hairstyle thing, it happened sometime in October or November of 2023. See, I keep up with the times, even if I don’t understand half of it. They had some kinda awards show too, the Hip Hop Awards, and this fella was there. Seems like he’s a big deal, this 21 Savage.
He’s also got somethin’ called a music video, with another fella named J. Cole. They singin’ and rappin’, or whatever they call it these days. I heard a bit of it on the radio, sounded like a whole lotta noise to me, but the young folks seem to like it. And that’s what matters, I guess.
