So, I’ve been on this whole classic watch kick lately, and the Orient Bambino kept popping up in my searches. I finally caved and snagged one, and figured I’d share my whole experience, from start to finish.

The Hunt Begins
First off, I had to figure out which Bambino I even wanted! There are, like, a million versions. Seriously. Different dial colors, case sizes, Roman numerals, no numerals… it was overwhelming.
I spent a good few hours just browsing through forums and images, trying to get a feel for the different styles. I knew I wanted something simple, something I could wear every day without it being too flashy.
Narrowing It Down
- Version 1: Too dressy, with those super-long Roman numerals.
- Version 2: Better, still a little much.
- Version 3: That grey dial.
Finally settled on the Version 4 with the blue dial and the more contemporary style.
The Purchase
Okay, watch chosen. Next mission: find a good deal. I wasn’t about to pay full retail. I checked all the usual online spots, did some price comparisons, and even looked at used ones. Ended up finding a new one on sale from a pretty reputable seller. Boom. Ordered.
The Waiting Game
This is the worst part, right? The waiting. I tracked that package like a hawk. Every. Single. Day. Refreshing the tracking page.

Unboxing!
Finally, it arrived! I ripped that box open. Inside the package, the watch box was neatly presented. I slowly opened it. There it was, the blue dial looked fantastic.
I took the watch out of the box.
First impressions? The watch felt solid, not cheap at all. The strap was a little stiff, but I figured it would break in over time. I set the time, put it on my wrist, and… yeah, I was happy. It looked great. Simple, clean, and that blue dial really popped in the light.
Living with the Bambino
I’ve been wearing it for a few weeks now. I’m still loving it. It’s comfortable, keeps good time (it’s an automatic, so no batteries!), and I’ve gotten a few compliments on it. The strap has definitely softened up, too. I wear it to work, wear it out, it just works for everything.

All in all, I’m super stoked with my Bambino. It’s a great everyday watch, especially for the price. If you’re thinking about getting one, just do it. You won’t regret it.
