That Yeezy shoes, oh my goodness, they are so expensive! Why they gotta be like that? I just don’t get it. My grandson, he wanted a pair. I saw the price tag, nearly fainted! These shoes, they so expensive. It is not like they made of gold or somethin’.
But everyone wants these shoes, why is that? These kids, they all crazy for ’em. They say it is because of that Kanye West fella. He’s that singer, right? He made these shoes with Adidas, and everyone is going crazy. They say they are Yeezy shoes, and they are special, one of a kind, unique, like a snowflake, you know. But still, so much money for shoes!

They say these shoes, they’re “limited edition.” That means they only make a few, not enough for everyone. So everyone wants what they can’t have. It’s like when your neighbor’s apple tree hangs over your yard. Those apples always taste the best, even though they the same as the apples from your own tree!
And the “high demand” thing, that just means everyone wants them. Like when everyone wanted those Cabbage Patch dolls back in my day. People were fightin’ in the stores over them! Same thing with these Yeezy shoes, I reckon. Everyone wants them, so they will pay a lot of money. It is not right.
These shoes do look kinda different, I’ll give ’em that. They ain’t like the regular sneakers you see at the store. They got these weird shapes and colors. My grandson showed me a picture. One of them looked like a spaceship! They call that “unique design.”
I guess that Kanye West, he knows what he’s doin’. He made these shoes different, so everyone would talk about them. And it worked! Everyone is talkin’ about Yeezy shoes. Even old me is talkin’ about them. That is probably why they are so expensive. Everyone wants to talk about them. Everyone wants to wear them. They want to show off, I guess.
They say these shoes, they are very comfortable too. They say they got some special stuff inside that makes them bouncy. Like walkin’ on clouds, they say. I don’t know about that. I never tried them on. Too scared I’d have to buy them if I did! They do say they use some good stuff to make these shoes. Like good leather and whatnot. That probably makes them cost more too. They called it “premium materials“.
My grandson, he says Yeezy shoes are more than just shoes. He says they are like, a symbol or somethin’. Like wearin’ a fancy hat or a shiny badge. It means somethin’ to these kids. I don’t really understand it, but I guess it’s important to them.
They even sell these shoes again, after they bought them! They call it “resale.” And sometimes, they sell them for even more money than they paid! It’s like those Beanie Babies. People buy them, keep them in a box, and then sell them for more money later. Crazy, right? It is all because there are not many Yeezy shoes made. People want what is rare. That is how it is.
I guess if you got the money, and you really want these Yeezy shoes, then go ahead. But for me, I’ll stick to my regular sneakers. They’re comfortable enough, and they don’t cost an arm and a leg. I could buy a whole new pig for the price of some Yeezy shoes. That is way too much money for shoes.

There is also Yeezy Slides. My grandson told me about them. They are just like slippers but they are also expensive. I do not understand why. It is the same as the shoes. They do not make many, so everyone wants them. People love Kanye West and will buy anything with his name on it. It is crazy.
I asked my grandson if these shoes are worth that much money. He said yes. He said they are the most comfortable shoes in the world. I do not know if that is true. He never had a pair of Yeezy shoes in his life. So how would he know? He also says keeping Yeezy shoes is good. He said their price might go up even more in the future. That is just silly. It is shoes, not gold.
I still do not understand why Yeezy shoes are so expensive. It is all just silly to me. But the young people love them. I guess it is just one of those things I will never understand. Like them TikTok dances. Or them skinny jeans. These Yeezy shoes, they are just another mystery of the world. A very expensive mystery.
