Kamala Costume Guide Dress Like Your Favorite VP

by Griffith Maggie

Okay, here’s my sharing about the “kamala costume” today:

So, I got this idea to make a Kamala costume, you know, just for fun. I started by looking around the house for stuff I could use. I found this old blue jacket in my closet – score! It’s kinda like the one Kamala often wears. It wasn’t a perfect match, but hey, close enough, right?

Then I thought, “What about the bottom?” I remembered I had these black pants, a bit worn out, but they would do the job. I tried them on with the jacket, and it looked okay. Not too shabby for a makeshift costume.

Next up, the accessories. Kamala often wears pearls, so I dug through my jewelry box. Found a simple pearl necklace and earrings. They weren’t real, obviously, but they added that classy touch I was going for.

  • First, I put on the black pants.
  • Then, I added the blue jacket.
  • After that, I put on the pearl necklace and earrings.

I looked in the mirror, and it was pretty cool! I felt like I could give a speech or something. I even practiced her walk and some of her phrases. It was a blast!

Finishing Touches

To complete the look, I styled my hair a bit like hers. I don’t have the same hair type, but I managed to pull it back and make it look somewhat similar. It wasn’t perfect, but it was good enough for my little project.

I also added a small American flag pin to the jacket. I found one lying around from some old Independence Day celebration. It was a nice little detail that made the costume feel more authentic.

I spent the whole afternoon putting this together, and it was so much fun. I even took some pictures and shared them with my friends. They got a good laugh out of it, and some even said I nailed it. I felt pretty proud of my DIY Kamala costume. It just goes to show, you can make something cool with just what you have at home and a bit of creativity.
