Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this new YSL fragrance, MYSLF Le Parfum, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey.

First off, I got my hands on a bottle. The thing looks pretty slick, I gotta say. Nice shape, cool color, and the logo’s on point. I sprayed a bit on my wrist, and at first, it’s like a citrus blast, super fresh and in your face. But that’s where things get interesting.
That initial citrus burst? Gone in like 20 minutes, poof. Then, it morphed into something else. Something kind of… flowery? It reminded me of neroli, which I’m not always crazy about, but it wasn’t too bad.
- I tried wearing it throughout the day, you know, to see how it develops.
- I noticed that the flowery part sticks around for a bit longer, which was nice.
After a while, the scent settled into something that’s supposed to be “woody,” I guess. They say it’s got ambroxan and patchouli, but it’s not like a super strong, woodsy smell. More like a subtle, background kind of vibe. And yeah, as some people say, it does have hints of pepper and vanilla, very subtle.
My Thoughts
So, here’s the deal. It’s a light fragrance. Not one of those that fills up the whole room. I tested it out a few different times, in different situations, and I gotta say, it’s pretty versatile. You could wear it to work, on a date, or just hanging out. It’s not overpowering, which I appreciate. But I heard that this is being discontinued, which is a bummer, right?
Honestly, I’m a bit torn. I do like how fresh it is at first, and the dry-down is pleasant enough. It’s a character, for sure. Sensual, but also subtle and reserved. But I’m not sure I’m totally sold on the whole neroli thing in the middle. And the “woody” base, while nice, isn’t exactly blowing my mind. Overall, it’s a decent fragrance. I enjoyed experimenting with it, and I’ll probably keep using it here and there. But is it my new signature scent? I’m not so sure about that just yet. I keep experimenting, but time will tell, I guess!

I also read somewhere that the perfumer behind this is Daniela Andrier. I didn’t know who she is but seems quite famous in the perfume industry.
