Hey, you ever heard of that green Versace perfume? I tell ya, that smell, it’s somethin’ else. It ain’t like them other smells, all flowery and stuff. This one, it’s like, you know, when you walk through the fields after it rains? That fresh, kinda green smell? That’s what it’s like.
My granddaughter, she’s all into these fancy things, she told me it’s called “Versace Pour Homme” or somethin’ like that. Fancy name, right? But I just call it the green Versace perfume. It’s like, a fancy green bottle of field smell, but not like the cut grass type. Not the stinky type of green smell neither. It smells like them herbs, you know? And, uh, that aloe stuff you rub on your skin when you get a sunburn.
I smelled it on her one day, and I said, “What in tarnation is that smell?” She said it was this green Versace perfume. I thought, well, I’ll be, that’s a nice smell. It ain’t too strong, but you can still smell it, you know? Like a little whisper of somethin’ nice. The citrus, you can smell that, from morning to night. Like lemons and, what are those little green things? Limes! It smells like those too.
There is a time, my granddaughter said it was the year of “nineteen ninety-six”, there is this thing called “Green Jeans”. She said that thing also smelled like lime, lemon, and lavender. Sounds like a good thing, but I don’t know, I like the green Versace perfume much better.
I like to put a little on my wrist, just a dab. And sometimes, I’ll put a little on my neck, right here. Not too much, mind you, just enough to get a little whiff every now and then. Makes me feel good, you know? Like I’m all spruced up, even if I’m just wearin’ my old house dress.

She also said, this green Versace perfume, is good for those, “fragrance enthusiasts”. I don’t know what that means, but I guess I am one of those. I do like to smell nice, and this perfume, it sure does smell nice. But, you know. My granddaughter said it is kinda expensive. I don’t know, but seems like those fancy stuff all cost a lot of money. I mean, they use good stuff to make those, right? She said it’s called, “longevity and strong sillage.” I don’t know what those words mean, but I guess it’s good.
Now, I heard her talkin’ about some other smells too, like “Aramis New West” and “Guy Laroche Horizon.” I don’t know nothin’ about those, but I bet they don’t smell as good as this green Versace perfume. This one’s special, I tell ya.
I remember this one time, I wore it to the church potluck. Everyone was askin’ me what that smell was. They said I smelled like a spring day, all fresh and clean. I just smiled and said, “It’s my little secret.”
If you ask me if this green Versace perfume is good? I say, yeah. It is good. Like I said, it is a good choice for business. You go to a meeting, smelling like this, people will think, “that person sure got their stuff together”. But I don’t know about business, I just like the smell.
