Alright, let’s talk about these… uh… crop tops for men. Yeah, you heard that right, crop tops for men. Never thought I’d see the day, but here we are.
First off, what in the tarnation is a crop top anyway? Back in my day, shirts were shirts, and they covered your whole belly, not just half of it. But these young folks, they like to show off their… well, whatever they got, I guess. And now, the fellas are joining in too.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ it’s good or bad, mind you. Just sayin’ it’s different. I saw some pictures online, these boys wearin’ these… these… short shirts. Some of ’em got sparkly things on ’em, like them rhinestone crop tops. Shiny, real shiny. Reminds me of them disco balls they used to have back in the day. Said they’re for raves and concerts and such. Sounds like a lot of noise to me.
Then there’s them mesh shirts. See-through, they are. Like fishnets, almost. Lord have mercy, I don’t know what the world is comin’ to. They call ‘em “sexy,” I reckon. Guess it depends on what you find sexy. To me, a good pair of overalls and a clean shirt is sexy enough, but hey, that’s just me.

- Some of them are colorful, like rainbows or neon lights.
- And some of them got holes all over ’em, like they been chewed on by a goat.
I saw some prices too. Some are cheap, just a few dollars. Others, well, they cost more than a good pair of work boots. You can find ’em online, at places like… well, I don’t rightly remember the names. Amazon, Kohls, something like that. They got all sorts of ’em, different sizes, different colors, different… styles.
And the boys, they wear these things to all sorts of places. Concerts, festivals, even just out on the street. Some of ’em wear ’em to the gym, I guess to show off their muscles. Not sure what they’re showin’ off, half the time they look like they ain’t eaten a good meal in a week.
I saw some called cold shoulder tops too. Shoulders are out, belly’s half out… makes you wonder if they forgot how to dress themselves properly. But then again, who am I to judge? If they wanna wear a shirt that don’t cover their whole belly, that’s their business. I just hope they don’t catch a cold.
There’s all kinds of materials too. Some are lightweight, some are… I don’t know, fancy-like. Lace-up ones, even. Lace! On a man’s shirt! Times sure have changed. And some of them are tight, real tight. Slim fit, they call it. Shows off everything, if you know what I mean.
So, yeah, crop tops for men. It’s a thing now, I guess. Not my cup of tea, but hey, to each their own. As long as they ain’t causin’ no trouble, they can wear whatever they please. Just makes me scratch my head sometimes, that’s all.
