So, I’ve been eyeing those New Balance 990 v4s for a while now. They’ve been around since, like, 2016, and everyone says they’re super comfy and last forever. And, you know, they’re kind of a classic look, too. I finally decided to pull the trigger and get a pair.

First, I started looking around online to see what the deal was with the price. I saw they were going for anywhere from under $200 to over $300, depending on the size and color. That’s a pretty wide range! It also showed me that these were the first running shoes that sold for over $100 when they were first released. Crazy! I noticed that Joe’s New Balance Outlet had some good deals, so I checked them out. I also browsed through Amazon and DICK’s Sporting Goods, just to compare prices and see all the different colors.
After spending a good chunk of time comparing, I found a pair on Amazon that was in my size and a color I liked. They were going for $248.99, which seemed like a decent price, especially with free shipping.
Getting My Hands on Them
I placed the order, and they arrived a few days later. I ripped open the box like a kid on Christmas morning. They looked even better in person than they did online! I slipped them on, and man, were they comfortable right out of the box. The motion control footbed felt really supportive, too.
Putting Them to the Test
- I wore them around the house for a few hours just to break them in a bit. No problems there.
- Then I took them for a walk around the neighborhood. Still comfy, no blisters or anything.
- Finally, I decided to go for a run in them. They felt great! Good support, good cushioning, no complaints at all.
I’ve been wearing these shoes for a couple of weeks now, and I’m really happy with them. They’re definitely worth the hype, and yeah, maybe even the price. I can see why people love these things so much. They’re comfortable, they look good, and I have a feeling they’re going to last me a long time. I think I made a good choice by going for these sneakers and would highly recommend them!
