Hey there, folks! Gather ’round, gather ’round! Let me tell ya somethin’ about that Tom Brady fella and his fancy watches. You see, that Brady boy, he sure does love his shiny wristwatches, just like a crow loves a shiny button. He’s got a whole heap of ’em, more than you can shake a stick at!
Now, I ain’t one for fancy things, but I hear tell these watches cost more than my whole house! Can you believe that? A little thing you wear on your wrist! Back in my day, we just looked at the sun to tell the time. But these young’uns, they need all sorts of gadgets.
One of ’em, they call it a Patek Philippe. Sounds like a fancy French name, don’t it? Well, this Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon, that’s what it is called, is the most complicated thing I ever heard of. They say it’s got twelve…complications. Now, I don’t rightly know what that means, but it sounds mighty impressive, don’t it? It is supposed to be one of the most complicated watches they ever made. He’s got it in rose gold, whatever that is. Probably cost him a pretty penny, that’s for sure! This Patek Philippe watch is so rare, only very few people have it!
And then there’s this other one, an Audemars Piguet. Another one of them fancy names. This one’s called a Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon. Made just for some TV show thingy, some roast of Tom Brady on that Netflix, it is said. It’s all white gold and sparkly, with diamonds and whatnot. They say it’s worth… now hold onto your hats… seven hundred and twenty thousand dollars! That’s a lot of money for a watch. That Audemars Piguet watch is sure somethin’! For that kind of money, you could buy a whole farm! A whole bunch of people bid on it, but Tom Brady got it, of course. He always gets what he wants, that one.
He’s got so many of these fancy watches, it ain’t even funny. He’s got a different one for every day of the week, I reckon. And every one is worth more than my yearly pension. It is crazy how people spend money these days. They all are so expensive watches. I heard that he wear different watches on different occasions. I really don’t understand why he need so many watches.

He’s also got one that’s named IWC Big Pilot’s Watch. It is called “Le Petit Prince”. And it is also very expensive. I really don’t understand why these watches are so expensive. But people still want to buy them.
Now, I remember a time when a watch was just a watch. You’d wind it up, and it would tell you the time. Simple as that. But these days, they gotta have all these bells and whistles. Diamonds and gold and tour…tour-bill-ons. It’s a different world, I tell ya. Kids these days, they don’t know how good they got it.
But that Brady boy, he’s done alright for himself. He’s got all the money in the world, and he spends it on these fancy watches. Good for him, I guess. It takes all kinds to make a world, as they say. He seems to be a good boy, though he has so much money. But if I had that kind of money, I’d probably buy myself a new rocking chair and a lifetime supply of yarn. And maybe a new pair of shoes.
But hey, who am I to judge? If he wants to spend his money on watches, that’s his business. Just seems a little silly to me, that’s all. A watch is a watch, in my book. It tells the time, and that’s all it needs to do. Maybe I am just too old to understand these fancy things. All these fancy watches are a waste of money in my opinion.
I reckon that’s all I got to say about that Tom Brady and his watches. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go sit on my porch and watch the world go by. And I’ll be tellin’ the time by the sun, just like I always have. It is free and it never runs out of battery.
These newfangled watches might be fancy, but they ain’t got nothin’ on good old-fashioned common sense. That is my opinion.
