So, I got thinking about Gwen Stefani’s perfume the other day. It wasn’t like I woke up needing it, but a random memory popped into my head about one of her first scents. I think it was the L.A.M.B. one, the original. Had a unique bottle, kinda heavy. Remember seeing it everywhere for a bit.
Starting the Hunt
First thing I did, naturally, was hop online. Checked the usual big department store sites, then the beauty retailers. Nothing. Not the original one, anyway. Saw some newer stuff, maybe flankers or related lines, but not that specific bottle I remembered. It felt like it just vanished.
Then I went down the rabbit hole. Started searching second-hand places, auction sites, forums where people talk about perfumes. You know how it gets. Found a few listings, yeah, but the prices were kinda wild for some of them. People asking a lot for a half-used bottle. Made me pause and think, do I really want it that bad?
Hitting the Streets (Sort Of)
I even checked a couple of older pharmacies and discount stores next time I was out. Sometimes you find old stock hidden away. No luck there either. It really felt like this scent just didn’t exist in the wild anymore, unless you were willing to pay collector prices.
I remembered those Harajuku Lovers perfumes too. Those little doll bottles were everywhere! Super cute designs. I actually found some of those around, still available here and there, often pretty cheap. Picked one up just out of curiosity. It was okay, smelled fruity and young, but didn’t scratch that itch for the original L.A.M.B. scent I was vaguely chasing.

What I Reckon Now
So, after all that poking around, did I get my hands on that original bottle? Nah. Decided against shelling out big bucks on an auction site for something I only half-remembered. Maybe the memory of the scent is better than the real thing would be now anyway.
It was just interesting seeing how something so popular back then can just disappear from regular shops. Makes you realize how fast things change, even with stuff like perfume. It’s not like they stopped making perfume, just… that specific one faded out. The whole search was a weird trip down memory lane more than anything else. Just funny how a simple thought can send you on a whole little quest like that.
