So, this little Jerry, he weren’t ever in one place too long. Moved here, moved there, all over, followin’ his daddy’s baseball. City after city, that’s how he grew up. Imagine that, never settlin’ down. Makes my head spin just thinkin’ about it.
Jerry Lorenzo parents, they musta done somethin’ right, though. He, that Jerry, started makin’ them clothes. And people, they just ate ’em up. Fear of God clothing, real popular now. Heard some fella named Virgil somethin’ liked his stuff too. But this ain’t about the clothes.
This Jerry, he said his daddy was a big influence. Not just the baseball, but how he lived his life, see? How he worked, how he was with the family. And somethin’ about, uh, spirit-u-ality. Said his daddy had that in everything he did. Sounds like a good man, that Jerry “The Sage” Manual.
Now, I don’t know nothin’ about fashion, or makin’ clothes. My old hands, they’re better at mendin’ than makin’. But this Jerry, he figured it out. Learned it all himself, they say. No fancy schoolin’. Just worked hard, and, well, look at him now. He is famous now because of the Fear of God brand.
They say gettin’ to where he is now weren’t easy. Lots of bumps in the road. But he kept at it. I reckon his parents, they were like most parents. Loved their boy, wanted him to be happy and make it in this world. Did what they could for him. But then again, that’s what parents do, ain’t it?

I seen them young folks wearin’ them Fear of God clothes. They look…different. Not like the clothes we used to wear. But they seem to like ’em. And that’s all that matters, I suppose. The young folks like it, and the Jerry Lorenzo brand is popular. Good for him, makin’ somethin’ of himself.
So, that’s the story of Jerry Lorenzo’s parents, far as I know it. A baseball player and his wife, raisin’ their boy, movin’ ’round the country. And that boy, he grew up and made somethin’ of himself. Made them fancy clothes that everybody wants to wear. I heard he started the Fear of God in 2013 in Los Angeles.
Life, it’s somethin’, ain’t it? You never know where it’s gonna take you. One day you’re playin’ baseball, the next your son’s a big shot fashion fella. Just goes to show, you gotta work hard, and follow your dreams, I guess. And maybe have a little faith, too, like that Jerry.
That Jerry Lorenzo, He always talks about his childhood. Always following his dad’s baseball career. That must be very hard, keep moving. But he make it. Now everyone knows him.
And the Fear of God name, it is from the religion. He is very into that. He said he is inspired. And he want to name his brand that. Sounds good to me. I like that name. He did it.
