Top tips for hiring the perfect trans makeup artist today!

Alright, so yesterday I was messing around with makeup, trying to figure out how to do a “trans makeup artist” kinda look. Sounds weird, right? But I had this idea in my head, and I just HAD to try it out.

First things first, I grabbed all my makeup. Seriously, ALL of it. Eyeshadow palettes, foundations, concealers, brushes – the whole shebang. I started by cleaning my face, cause you gotta have a clean canvas, duh!

Next, I decided to go bold with the eyes. I wanted a dramatic look, so I picked a super bright blue eyeshadow. I started by priming my eyelids – can’t skip that step, or the shadow will crease like crazy. Then, I just went for it! I packed the blue all over my lid, blending it out towards the crease. I used a darker blue in the outer corner to add some depth.

Liner time! I used a black liquid liner to create a thick wing. I kinda messed up on the first try, but hey, that’s what makeup remover is for, right? I redid it, and it looked way better. Then, I added some falsies for extra drama. Those things are always a pain to put on, but they make such a difference.

After the eyes, I moved on to the face. I used a full-coverage foundation to even out my skin tone. Then, I concealed under my eyes and on any blemishes. I contoured my cheeks and jawline to give my face some definition. Gotta have that snatched look!

Highlight time! I used a shimmery highlighter on my cheekbones, nose, and cupid’s bow. I wanted to glow like a disco ball, haha! I also added some blush to my cheeks for a pop of color.

For the lips, I went with a bright red lipstick. It’s a classic, and it always looks good. I lined my lips first to make sure the lipstick didn’t bleed. Then, I just applied it straight from the tube.

To finish off the look, I sprayed my face with some setting spray. Gotta make sure everything stays in place all day (or at least for a few hours).

And that was it! The “trans makeup artist” look was complete. It was definitely a fun experiment, and I learned a lot about different makeup techniques. Would I wear this look every day? Probably not. But it was fun to try something new and step outside of my comfort zone.
