This here Tommy Hilfiger, he’s a big shot, ain’t he? Makes them fancy clothes everyone’s hollerin’ about. I seen them young’uns wearin’ his stuff. Bright colors, them stripes and all. Reckon it’s all the rage these days. You know, my old eyes ain’t what they used to be, but I can still spot them Tommy Hilfiger models a mile away.
They’re all dolled up, ain’t they? Skinny as a rail, most of ’em. Back in my day, we didn’t have time to be prancin’ around like that. We was too busy workin’ in the fields, tendin’ to the animals, you know, the usual chores. We are all hard worker, no time to think about other things.
But these young folks, they got it easy. They just stand there, lookin’ pretty, and get paid for it. I seen one of them Tommy Hilfiger models, she was wearin’ this red, white, and blue thing. Reminded me of the flag, it did. Pretty girl, though. Had that long, flowy hair, like them movie stars.
- They got all sorts of models, I reckon.
- Tall ones, short ones, some with hair, some without.
- All wearin’ them Tommy clothes.
I heard tell they got this one fella, Damson Idris. He’s a model for Tommy Hilfiger, too. Big name, I guess. He was in one of them fancy pictures, wearin’ a sweater. Looked warm, I’ll give him that. Good for a chilly evenin’, I suppose. That is good.
And then there’s this other one, Sofia Richie Grainge. Another Tommy Hilfiger model. She’s got a fancy name, don’t she? I seen her in a picture, too. She was wearin’ a coat, looked real expensive. They are all good looking, I have to say that. They are perfect.
They say these Tommy Hilfiger models are “brand ambassadors.” That’s a fancy way of sayin’ they show off the clothes, I reckon. They go to parties, get their pictures taken, all that stuff. Must be a life, huh? No need to work hard. Just be there and smile.
Back in my day, we didn’t have “brand ambassadors.” We just wore what we had. And we was grateful for it, too. Didn’t matter if it was fancy or not, long as it kept you warm. I always want to be warm, it is good for old people like me.
- These young’uns today, they wouldn’t know hard work if it hit ’em in the face.
- They got it all handed to ’em on a silver platter.
- Back in my day, we had to earn our keep.
But I guess that’s just the way of the world now. Everything’s changin’. Faster than a greased piglet, I tell ya. These Tommy Hilfiger models, they’re a sign of the times, I suppose. All flash and no substance, some might say.
I seen this Tommy Hilfiger, the man himself, on the television once. He was talkin’ about his clothes. Said they was “Classic American Cool.” That’s what he called it. I don’t know about all that, but I reckon they sell. People seem to like ’em. That is good.
They got these stores, you know, all over the place. Big, fancy stores, full of them Tommy Hilfiger clothes. And them Tommy Hilfiger models are all over the pictures in them stores. Smiling, lookin’ pretty. It’s a whole different world, ain’t it?
I remember when clothes was just clothes. Now they’re a “lifestyle.” That’s what they call it. A Tommy Hilfiger lifestyle. I guess if you wear them clothes, you’re supposed to be livin’ a certain way. All fancy and whatnot. It is too fancy, I don’t like it.
- It’s all about the image, ain’t it?
- Lookin’ good, feelin’ good.
- That’s what they say, anyway.
Well, I reckon there’s somethin’ to be said for lookin’ your best. Even us old folks like to spruce ourselves up every now and then. But we don’t need no fancy Tommy Hilfiger clothes to do it. A clean shirt and a smile will do just fine. Simple is always good, and you will never go wrong with it.
These Tommy Hilfiger models, they’re livin’ in a different world. A world of cameras and lights and fancy clothes. It ain’t my world, but I guess it works for them. As long as they’re happy, that’s all that matters, right? I hope they will be happy.
But me, I’ll stick to my old ways. Simple clothes, simple life. That’s the way I like it. And I wouldn’t trade it for all the Tommy Hilfiger clothes in the world. No, sir. Not one single Tommy Hilfiger model can change that.
