You know, that TheRealReal Atlanta, it’s a big deal, they say. Heard it’s full of fancy stuff, like them handbags and shiny things. They got all them big names, like… what’s that one… Goo-chee? Yeah, Gucci, and some fella named Louis with a V. Louis Vuitton, they call it. Sounds like a mouthful to me.
My neighbor, she went down there. Said it was big, bigger than the old grocery store downtown. She was looking for a good deal, you know? Said they got all kinds of stuff, TheRealReal Atlanta, not just clothes, but sparkly necklaces and them fancy watches. She’s got a good eye for them things, that one. Me? I wouldn’t know a real diamond from a piece of glass. But she said this place, they check everything real good. So it’s gotta be real deal.
She said them folks at TheRealReal Atlanta, they’re all dressed up nice, real friendly. They will help you if you want to sell those old, dusty things in the closet. My neighbor, she sold an old scarf, got some money for it. Said it was easy, like pie. She’s got a whole box of stuff she’s gonna take down there. Says she’s gonna make a killing. I don’t know about that. But I’m happy for her.
They got experts. That’s what they say, experts. These folks know their stuff. They look at every little thing, make sure it’s real. Not some fake thing you get down at the flea market.
Now, I heard you can find all sorts of things at this TheRealReal in Atlanta. They got:
- Clothes: Dresses, shirts, pants, you name it. Probably got them fancy coats too, the kind you see in them magazines.
- Bags: All sizes, I bet. Big ones, small ones, probably them tiny little ones that can’t hold nothing but a lipstick.
- Jewelry: Shiny things, sparkly things, all them things that catch your eye. Probably got rings and bracelets too.
- Watches: Them fancy watches that cost more than my whole house. They even have Rolex in TheRealReal Atlanta.
And they say it’s all cheaper than buying it new. Up to 90% off, that’s what I heard! Ninety percent! That’s a lot of money saved. You could buy a whole lot of groceries with that kind of money.
This TheRealReal Atlanta, it’s a big place. They say it’s 3,200 square feet. I don’t know how big that is, but it sounds mighty big. Bigger than my whole yard, I bet. And they got thousands of things in there. Thousands! Can you imagine? Must be like a treasure chest in there.
My neighbor, she said they got this place in TheRealReal Atlanta called a consignment store, this place. She said people bring in their old stuff, and the store sells it for them. They get some money and then they can buy somethings new. Then the store gets some money too. It’s a good deal, she says. Everybody wins.
She said you gotta make sure your stuff is clean, though. No stains or smells. They are very strict with it in TheRealReal Atlanta. They check everything real good. They got different words for how good the stuff is. Pristine, that’s the best one. Then there’s Excellent, Very Good, Good, and Fair. Sounds like school grades to me.
Now, I ain’t never been to this TheRealReal Atlanta place myself. I don’t have no fancy things to sell. But my neighbor, she loves it. She is a big fan of this place. She’s always telling me about the deals she finds. Says she’s gonna take me there one day. Maybe she will. Maybe I’ll find a nice scarf or something. You never know. They have so many things in there.
I heard some folks got into a tiff with that TheRealReal place a while back. Something about them not checking things good enough. But my neighbor, she says she never had a problem. She trusts them. Says they know what they’re doing. I guess they have to do a lot of checks, maybe they miss somethings sometimes.
This whole thing, it sounds mighty fancy to me. But it’s good to know there’s a place like TheRealReal Atlanta where folks can go and find nice things without spending a fortune. And it’s good that folks can sell their old stuff and make a little money. It’s like recycling, but for fancy things.
And, they say there are many stores like TheRealReal Atlanta, all over the world. They have 19 stores, 16 of them are those kind that you can buy things. That’s a lot. My neighbor said they are very popular. Seems like a lot of people like to buy and sell them used fancy things.
