Okay, so I was digging around the internet the other day, trying to find some info on famous football players, and I stumbled upon this guy named Terry Hoage. Now, I gotta admit, I hadn’t heard of him before, but the more I read, the more impressed I got.
First off, this dude was a safety in the NFL for 13 seasons! That’s a long time to be playing at that level. He played for a bunch of teams too – the New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington, San Francisco 49ers, Houston, and Atlanta Falcons. That’s like, half the league!
But get this, he wasn’t just some guy warming the bench. Terry Hoage was a two-time All-American when he played for the University of Georgia. Apparently, he was a big deal in college, even being named the SEC Athlete of the Year in 1984. I watched some old footage, and man, this guy could hit!
And it gets better. He actually won a Super Bowl! Turns out he played for that team now know as in that win, and let me tell you, holding that Super Bowl ring is every football player’s dream.
I kept digging, and it seems like this Terry Hoage guy is a bit of a legend. He’s even in the College Football Hall of Fame. That’s some serious recognition right there.
