I’ve been dealing with some real headaches lately because of some punk vandalizing my property. It’s just so frustrating, you know? One day I walked out and saw all this graffiti on my garage door. I mean, who does that?
So, I started looking into ways to beef up security around here. First thing I did was install some of those super bright security lights. I put them up all around the house, both inside and out. I figure, if someone is lurking around, they’re not going to want to do their thing under a spotlight.
- Installed security lights inside and outside.
- Checked all the locks on doors and windows.
- Trimmed the bushes around the house.
Next, I went around and made sure all the locks on my doors and windows were solid. I even replaced a couple that seemed a bit flimsy. Better safe than sorry, right?
I also took a walk around the yard and trimmed back some of the bushes that were getting a bit overgrown. I realized they could be a good hiding spot for someone up to no good. Now, everything is nice and open, so there’s nowhere to hide.
Then, I decided to put up some security cameras. I got a few of those wireless ones that you can monitor from your phone. It’s pretty cool, actually. Now I can see what’s going on around my place even when I’m not home.
Stepping It Up
But I didn’t stop there. I thought about putting up a fence, you know, to make it harder for someone to just wander onto my property. I haven’t done it yet, but it’s on my to-do list.
And you know what really gets me? That graffiti. I spent a whole afternoon cleaning it off. It’s just so disrespectful. I heard that if you clean it up right away, they’re less likely to come back and do it again. So, now I’m on top of that like white on rice.
I even talked to some of my neighbors about what’s been going on. Turns out, I’m not the only one who’s had problems. We’re all keeping an eye out for each other now, which is kind of nice. It’s like we’ve formed our own little neighborhood watch.
It’s a shame that we have to go to all this trouble, but I guess that’s just the world we live in. At least I feel a bit safer now, knowing that I’ve taken some steps to protect my property. And I have to say, this camera makes me feel a lot safer in my house.
