Okay, so today I was messing around with “Shontelle Rihanna.” Sounds random, right? Well, it started because I was listening to some old-school tunes and Shontelle’s “T-Shirt” came on. It totally reminded me of Rihanna’s early stuff, and I went down a rabbit hole.

First, I listened to a bunch of their songs back-to-back. I wanted to really compare their styles, especially from around the same time period.
Digging Deeper
Next, I spent some time, compare and search for some information about them.
Trying to Find some connection with each other.
- I started with Shontelle. Checked out her discography, focused on her early albums like “Shontelligence” and “No Gravity.”
- Then I did the same for Rihanna. “Music of the Sun,” “A Girl like Me” – those were the albums I concentrated on.
- I looked at old interviews and articles. Because of the limitations of my tools. I do my best to find out if there was ever any talk of them influencing each other, working together, anything like that.
My Observations
I Played both of them on my player. and played them at the same time.

Honestly, I am suprised. their voice really match to each other.
It was a fun little experiment! I love doing these kinds of deep dives into music. Sometimes you discover something new, sometimes you just appreciate what you already knew in a different way.
