Now, I ain’t no fancy watch expert, mind you. I’m just a plain ol’ person, but I can tell you what I hear and what seems sensible. They started makin’ these Sea Dweller watches way back in 1967. I guess that makes ’em worth a pretty penny, but I wouldn’t know nothin’ about that. I reckon if you got one of those, you’re sittin’ pretty.
Talkin’ ’bout money, let’s gab a bit about what these watches are worth. If you go and buy one brand new, and then try to sell it later, you might not get all your money back. They say you might lose a little, maybe around 9.9%. But hey, that ain’t too bad, I reckon. Some things, you lose a whole lot more when you sell ’em. And if you can find one of these watches for a good price to start with, well, you might even make a little somethin’ when you sell it later. It’s like buyin’ a good piece of land, I guess. It holds its value, mostly.

Now, some folks, they really get into the details. They talk about this and that, all the little parts and how they work. Me? I just care if it tells the time and if it’s gonna last. And this 16600, it seems like it does both. It’s got this special thingy in it, a helium escape valve, they call it. That’s for deep divin’, so the watch don’t bust when you come back up. Not that I’ll ever be doin’ any deep divin’, but it’s nice to know it’s there, I guess.
Some folks don’t like the newer watches, the ones they call “6-digit” models. I don’t know what all that means, but I hear some folks prefer the older ones like this 16600. They say it’s just better, simpler maybe. And I can appreciate that. Sometimes the old ways are the best ways.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a good watch, this Sea Dweller 16600 might be worth considerin’. It’s been around a long time, folks seem to like it, and it holds its value pretty good. It ain’t the cheapest watch out there, that’s for sure, but it seems like it’s a good one. Just remember, I ain’t tellin’ you what to do, just sharin’ what I’ve heard. You gotta make up your own mind about these things.
