Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Brooke Shields gal, seen her pictures in them magazines at the store. Brooke Shields young, they say, and she sure was somethin’ back in the day.
I ain’t no fancy writer or nothin’, just a plain ol’ person, but I can tell ya what I see. This girl, Brooke, she started out real young, like eleven or somethin’, in this movie called “Pretty Baby”. This girl, she was tall too. Taller than most folks, even the men. They say she was like five foot ten at fourteen. Fourteen! I was barely five foot nothin’ at that age, skinny as a beanpole. But Brooke, she was somethin’ special, I guess.
And smart too! Not just a pretty face. She went to some fancy school, Princeton they called it, and got herself a degree in somethin’ called French Literature. French! Can ya believe it? I can barely speak English proper, let alone some fancy French talk. And Italian too, she studied a bit of that. But she said she spent most of her time playin’ with mud, pottery they called it. Guess everyone likes playin’ with mud, even them fancy folks.
